Emphysema on Lung Health Scan
I have mild emphysema FVC/FEV1 ratio 65% FVC % of normal 119% FEV1% of normal 104% I recently had a lung health check for cancer ( negative ) but there was no mention of emphysema on my letter --- I asked my doctor this morning & he said it probably didn't show up because your lung damage is mild

Looking for advice on what feels like chains of ectopic heartbeats?
I used to have Wolf Parkinson White, which would occur with SVT runs and ectopic heartbeats which could be quite painful and alarming. My fear was always the ectopics, they'd cause such sudden pangs in my chest that my brain processed them as dangerous. However, it was a fast run in my sleep that then

Water tip
Hi, I have always had plenty of ectopic beats and PVCs. I had a blood test back in early spring which showed my kidneys were showing signs of dehydration and to come back for another test but to drink plenty first. I have always drunk loads of decaf tea and some decaf coffee, but probably only a pint

Pvcs and pacs following acute afib episode and Apple watch ecg/ekg
Following my first (confirmed) afib attack a month ago(with rvr) I seem to have an occasional flip flop or thud and flutter from my heart. Cardiologist and EP discontinued my beta blocker after 10 days because my HR is already low and the flip flopping came a few days later. Yesterday I discovered

getting better but anxiety over future
Hi, I was diagnosed with asthma last September after being in hospital for ten days with a bad exacerbation. All out of the blue. I was on oxygen for most of it and coughing up thick green stuff after a chest infection. Could hardly breathe and almost in ICU. After recovering from that I picked up more

Update on me.
So it's been a while since I posted here. Still waiting to see a pulmonologist. That will be happening in June provided there's no cancellations or delays because of industrial action. Had spirometry done both FEV1 and FVC were 91. Not indicative of airway obstruction. Relieving and frustrating at

Spirometry non-obstructive, CT shows scarring but no fibrosis/legions/bronchiectasis so what’s wrong???
Hi guys, Still looking for advice! Last September I had pneumonia. It was severe, and I was hospitalised for a week. It took five months and six courses of antibiotics to shift it. X rays showed ‘chronic atelectasis’ in right base. I’ve been sent for CT and spirometry, and gone through the results

New and worried - Arrhythmia
I also have
pvc
and pac ectopics. I’m at an awkward age (female 49) and for the past 5 months I’m getting small runs of what I can’t be sure are ectopics or if the svt has returned (after all this time after an ablation I’d think that odd?!).

Stopping Sotolol after ablation - fast HR and breathless
Hello, I am an ablation for Paroxysmal AFib and Flutter on 11th July. All went well. As well as AFib I used to get long periods ( a week or more) of other arrhythmia -PACs, SVTs, PVCs. They told me the ablation might not help stop these. During the 3 month blanking period, had some days of chest

Rhythm with occasional premature ventricular contractions (PVCs).
After a ablation in-2016 I’ve been AFib free Recently my ECGs are showing rhythm with occasional premature ventricular contractions (PVCs). This is fairly frequent I’m also showing high BP during episodes my BP is normally pretty low 100/70 ish Should I be concerned?

PVCs for months
What's the longest time any of you have had episodes of PVCs for? I've been having a flare-up for just over 2 months now, ever since I had an infection (unrelated to the heart). Seeing a Cardiologist on Wednesday. I'll be interested to hear your experiences, I need reassurance. Thanks.

Quivering sensations
I hope you are all wellMy question : Has anyone experienced episodic "quivering" sensations that are very brief, 10 seconds or so? I've had something similar before, several years ago and wore a Zio patch for 2 weeks but never picked up any A-fib only PACs and PVCs. I am now 67 year old dx with paroxsymal

AF or PVCS ablation
He told that my ectopics were monomorphic ventricular ectopics and an ablation was needed for
PVC
ectopics only. He also said that it was not a good idea to do both ablations in one go as it may be dangerous. Now I am in limbo: don’t understand what ectopics I have and what ablation is needed.

Can antibiotics trigger PVCs?
2 months ago I was hospitalised for a facial infection. I was given strong antibiotics and ever since I've had PVCs every day for hours at a time. I've had them for 10 years and they've been controlled well with daily Flecainide and Verapamil, until now. I've got a 7 day holter monitor on at present

How to talk so my consultant will listen - advice please 🙏
I was given a kardia gadget to start recording my own EKG readings at home and it’s recorded a number of wide QRS complex,
PVC
and potential Afib readings (in the last 5 days).
