Blood results - well the "wonky" ones anyway.
PTH
(Parathyroid) - 9.8 (0.95 - 5.7) Cortisol 247 - no range and this was taken at 12.30m and is marked in bold as is other "wonky" results so would like to know what the range for that time of day is supposed to be.

GP appointment yesterday went well!
Tpo ab and ft3 were refused by lab as tsh in range, saw it on his screen and the earlier test on
pth
( parathyroid ) was refused as my calcium was in range(only just!) So you finally find a GP who will listen and help and he can't get the tests he wants because the lab says so!

Vitamin D
Another article I've nicked, this time from Natural News. I consider Vitamin D to be important in my drug regime, mainly in my defence against respiratory infections. I take vit D3 every day in tablet form instead of as part of a multivitamin tablet or capsule. Multivitamins contain trace metals that

Is this as good as it gets?
My last blood results (February 2013) are as follows: TSH 0.96 (0.3-4.5) FT4 16 (12-22) FT3 4.7 (3.9-6.9)
PTH
4.5 (no range given) Ferritine 43 (12-250) Up until early December 2012 I was on 150 Levothyroxine, but I went to see the internist about persistent pain in my hands.

Help understanding blood results please...B12, Folate, Ferritin etc.
I have just had my blood results back and have been told that I need to have a Parathyroid Hormone test and then begin taking Colecalciferol. I am currently on 100mcg Levo and am experiencing lots of symproms such as fatigue, extreme dry skin, mental 'fog' and irregular menstrual cycle. My GP does

Thyroid Hormones Decrease Plasma 1a,25-Dihydroxyvitamin D Levels
T(3)-induced hyperthyroid mice showed marked decreases in plasma 1,25(OH)(2)D levels and in renal expression of CYP27B1 mRNA but no changes in plasma concentrations of calcium,
PTH
, or fibroblast growth factor-23.

opology to have to post again, but g.p on leave and I am hyperthyroid and need to be seen.
I have just phoned surgery and my
PTH
needs to be done again, this is ridiculous, I have had three blood test, not sure about another test to check calcium and
PTH
as they show up low.

Hyperparathyroidism does anyone suffer from this?
They emailed my dr to ask her to arrange blood tests for me as when they had done mine it showed up that my
PTH
levels were very high. Also to do a bone density profile & check vit D levels. She done these & it showed more or less the same as the hosps finding.

has anyone else got a problem with blood pressure my BP has started climbing and it is now 180/90.
As well as CD, I have 3rd stage kidney disease, high parathyroid hormone levels, high aldesterone levels and Hashimotos and osteoporosis. I am now having my BP taken 3 times a day because the cuff had to go so high on my 24 hr monitoring that the cuff caused such pain that it elevated my BP to 210/130

raised parathyroid hormone
Good afternoon to all, Yesterday I went to GP to discuss my vitamin D levels as I had some blood taken a couple of weeks ago to check this. Anyway, the result wasn't back from the lab, but the result was there from the sample which they took to measure parathyroid hormone level which they apparently
