Good news to share!
After radical
prostatectomy
, chemo clinical trial, and radiation during 2001-2002, I watched my psa do its long slow climb. I began Lupron injections about five years ago. The number dropped to about 0.84, then began another long slow climb.

NCCN guidelines
I am post
prostatectomy
, and finished salvage EBRT in June and was hoping for a break. However my MO states he gives no weight to the Decipher score. He states as his singular reason that the NCCN guidelines are silent on the issue and he strictly adheres to them.

considering Treatment Options
My urologist and oncologist have laid out what they present as 3 equally viable options, radical
prostatectomy
, radiation (external or seed) and active monitoring. They have told me that my case is a low to moderate risk case.

They are, of course, offering me a choice between radical
prostatectomy
and radical radiation + hormone therapy. I am aware of all of the likely and possible side effects of both treatments.

Update and Plan - 52 and new prostate CA dx.
Mike is choosing to have the radical
prostatectomy
, the surgeon has done over 4000 robotic assisted RPs. He was very optimistic and believes that he has an excellent chance at never having a recurrence in his lifetime - 90% chance that there will not be a recurrence.

Why not start therapy the moment you know you have PC?
I've often wondering why know hormone therapy was given until I blew my PSA out of the water 14 weeks after the Radical
Prostatectomy
. 1) I found out I had cancer in later Feb 2020 2) I met with a urologist/surgeon on March 13, he recommended Robotic 3) I meet with the Robotic Surgeon on March

IP6 + Inositol seems to be working for me.
I had radical
prostatectomy
in August 2003 (Gleason: 4+3) which was followed by a very gradual PSA rise over 11 years. I had conventional treatments (salvage radiation, spot radiation) as well as complementary therapies (cannabis oil, fasting), and dietary supplements (too numerous to mention).

Intense orgasm, ED and ejaculating urine
After having the robotic
prostatectomy
May 2021, I didn't know what to expect in regard to sexual recovery. I am not able to get hard with the generic Viagra at all. Even before the surgery the ED was very bad. I used Muse for a while but it was too expensive.

mCRPR
He originally had a
prostatectomy
over 10 years ago. In 2016, his PSA was once again and he began radiation although the doctors said they were basically aiming blindly at where they believed it to be. His PSA eventually went to be undetectable until 2020.

Pluvicto plus Xtandi
In Aug 2019 I had a Radical
prostatectomy
. Nov 2019 I was dx with mCRPC and 6 bone lesions throughout my body. I’ve run the gambit of Bicalutamide, Docetaxel, Abiraterone, Cabazitaxel, still taking Lupron and Zometa. At the beginning of June I started Enzalutamide (Xtandi) 4x40 mg.

Best prostate cancer oncologist in Europe?
My father has been diagnosed with prostate cancer 7 years ago and he had a
prostatectomy
right away and salvage radiation therapy two years later. Right now his PSA has been increasing for about a year and it is now 0.11.

How credible is my report
In three separate paragraphs it states 'persistent psa post radical
prostatectomy
', 'evidence of
prostatectomy
with no abnormal radiotracer uptake in the prostate bed', 'prior
prostatectomy
'. The point is I have never had a RP. I had 78g of RT (8 years ago) and 3 years of Lupron.

Preparation Thoughts if PSA Rises
11 years since
prostatectomy
, after 2 BCR's I had salvage radiation to prostate bed and whole pelvic radiation. The pelvic radiation was followed by 2 years of Lupron. I am currently in my 15th month of Lupron vacation and PSA is undetectable. I have a blood test next week and anxious as usual.
