evenity vs prolia+forteo
speak freely. my Mum's been given these choices, i would love it if she could come off
prolia
, but evenity sounds too high-powered.
prolia
has 60mg/6months of ingredient, and evenity has 210mg/1month of whatever it is, is that right? i don't even know if i want to know.

Prolia
Has anyone had the
Prolia
injection for the first time? And possibly side effects starting as early as a week after injection? Thank you all.

Since Evenity can only be taken for 1 year he prescribed
Prolia
. After a Dexa Scan a few weeks ago all areas increased in bone density EXCEPT my vertebrae where I had a DECREASE of 12% within the year. He told me this was very rare and that I should continue with
Prolia
and add Tymlos.

Eligard and bicalutamide.
Now on
Prolia
, vitamin d3, k2, and calcium. Anxious to begin sustained exercise, essential for osteoporosis, though still recovering from breakage. 2022 to 2024 PSA remains at 0.01. Good luck.

severe osteoporosis and op drugs
is there people on here with L5 t12 who don't take any op drugs and take the risks of fractures, when I was dx I was told I must have zoledronic acid infusion to help me followed by
prolia
, I thought I was doomed unless I had treatment, I asked for another dexa scan before my 2nd infusion on the 25th

Melatonin and bone loss / PCa
This next article is long and dense: https://erc.bioscientifica.com/view/journals/erc/30/9/ERC-22-0360.xml I also wonder if melatonin is synergistic with
Prolia
/denosumab or if it is if no net improvement.

not enough endos?
I see people echoing my experience with the endocrinologist that started me on
Prolia
- prematurely I believe. She really did no education and we hardly discussed. "Take this. it's safe. Be sure you get your shots in time."

has anyone lost a tooth or teeth, without being on osteoporosis drugs?
endocrinologist said she doesn't believe dentist who linked
prolia
to tooth fracture; i said, no, it was a GP who said it. she said she believes it is osteoporosis affecting the tooth, not
prolia
.

scan or not? if the scores are improved, great!; if the scores are not improved, what gets done differently?
, there are no options other than continue
prolia
, seems a waste of time, effort, money, and it was scans and scores that started all this mismanagement (edited typos)

The end ??
Just had a dexa scan and I have been on
Prolia
for 2.5 years but still there is some deterioration in the bones. Thankfully GCA hasn't raised its ugly head again. Still waiting for the burnout Mr rheumy. That's my whinge for the day. Thank you all for the knowledge I never received from rheumy!

Transitioning off Prolia with Reclast
Hi, I’m set to receive my first Reclast injection soon. Also searching for a new Endo to help me get off all drugs as soon as possible (1-2-or 3 years?)

Confused about FRAX scores
I'm confused as to the increase in spite of the treatment with
Prolia
the BMD is improved but shouldnt the Fracture risk assessment be going down? I also see that the reference for T-scores are based on the NHANES reference values for women aged 20-29 years.

Docetaxel and Infection in a Dental Implant
My husband is on
Prolia
. It will be six months since the last injection on April 12,24 which means he can’t have major dental work done before then. Does anyone have any information regarding teeth and or dental implant problems or infection taking this treatment Docetaxel? Thank you

My doctor is recommending prolia for my osteoporosis. Is anyone taking it and what do you think about it?
My doctor is recommending
prolia
but I don't know if I should take it after reading all the reviews. Risedronate did not work for me

Alternative to oral bisphosphonates
I may have to come off
Prolia
and I’m aware of possible rebound fractures if you don’t take a relay medication of bisphosohonates. I’m unable to tolerate oral bisphosohonates. My question is what can I take? Or am I doomed to having yet more fractures.
