Coverage of Proton Beam Therapy
Does Medicare cover proton beam therapy? Do private insurance companies cover it, or does this vary from insurance company to insurance company?

OMG it was the best treatment for me. I would recommend this treatment to anyone who qualify. The consult is free. If you have medicare, it's covered. I strongly advise seeking it as one of your options before making a decision. I found out about Proton therapy from the group. I don't remember the guys

Newly diagnosed (liposarcoma) and starting treatment (doxorubicin) on Monday
Hi Everyone I came to the Centre last week for the Living Well course. It was great. We are very fortunate. The histology has now confirmed that I have a retro-peritoneal lipo-sarcoma which is not operable and I am due to start on doxorubicin on Monday. Things are moving fast and I think thats best

Radiation as a first-line treatment

Was diagnosed with stage 0 high grade on my left side. Had a lumpectomy 6 weeks ago with clean margins. Radiation has been recommended to prevent a recurrence. GOING FOR IT!
Communication is so hard isn't it? After a lot of telephoning around and talking to nearly everyone I could - except my urologist who is doing biopsies today at a different hospital. It seems that the hospital should have done Liver function tests so that has put me back a few days because the GP had

Proton Therapy
Unfortunately many are not aware of the use of proton radiation therapy for eliminating the cancer. If you've been diagnosed, I strongly suggest you consider this method. I chose this and the entire process, results were outstanding without any negative side effects.
