I am planning on starting MUCUNA I need advice on brands, doses etc....
I need to know if I can take it between my C/L 25/100 every three hours due to the fact that it only last two hours, is Amantadine a Dopamine Agonist? I’m also starting Amantadine, anyone on it for tremor? Good results? Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks 🙏🏽

Relief from Artane but none with Sinemet
I’m curious if anyone else has had symptom relief while taking Artane after levodopa provided no relief? My neurologist had me on Sinemet, eventually up to 3 tablets 4x a day. During this time I didn’t experience any symptom relief. He recently had me try Artane, and after taking 1/2 tablet 2x a day

Antidepressants do they contain dopamine?....
I’ve read that antidepressants contain dopamine, my question, is there’s such a thing as too much dopamine can be bad if you’re already taking meds with it? I am taking Lexapro, Wellbutrin and buspar all 1 tab once a day, plus C/L 25/100 1 tab 3x Mirapax 0.25 1 tab 3x and recently my neurologist added

Interstitial Cystitis (painful bladder syndrome), FODMAP diet and Endometriosis
I had my first laparoscopy yesterday. My surgeon found a lot more Endometriosis than she was expecting as I was previously diagnosed with it from an MRI scan but not all of it showed up on that. It was found in the pouch of Douglas, between my womb and bowel, around my bladder, and around the front of

Can Graves' Disease present with lower urinary tract symptoms?
Hello, I was diagnosed with Graves disease back in May 2017. At the time I had a general feeling of unwell, a rapid heartbeat, nausea and excessive sweating. I was put on Carbimozole - my medication eventually lowered to just 5MG every other day, when I was told a month ago that as my levels were 'normal

B-6, Methyl Folate and B-12
I know it's been written before, yet I'm still confused. Vitamin B-6 has to be taken a few hours after Levodopa, RIGHT? Even though he is on Levodopa/Carbidopa, I still hold to that "rule". Methyl Folate, B-9, is it safe or no? Vitamin B-12, I have heard a negative about it. He takes this daily at 1

Interstitial cystitis
Hello my lovelies, Looking for some advice on if interstitial cystitis can be missed on a rigid cystoctopy? Here's the short version of my story: Been dealing with basically recurring UTI's but no infection found for the last 6 years. It's every symptom of a UTI + bloating & there's always blood in

Bladder problems and endometriosis
Hi ladies, I have recently been diagnosed with endometriosis after multiple hospital admissions over the last year. During this time I went into urinary retention and have had to have a suprapubic catheter inserted. Ive had it for 3 months now and they are not sure if the endo treatment will now help

The journey of Levodopa inside the intestine.
In his blog of 9 February "BAC for the future", Simon of Science of Parkinson's remembers that Levodopa is converted into Dopamine by an enzyme called Decarboxylase DOPA. He also says that outside the brain there is a lot of decarboxylase dopa in other organs of the body, so there is a risk that Levodopa

Borderline folate and blood in urine - no follow up needed. Is this correct?
Hi all, I have recently presented with recurring UTI and microscopic blood in my urine. Blood test result came back with borderline folate, but no follow up with it. I still have the blood in my urine, which is not being investigated. Is this correct? I still have symptoms regarding tiredness and lethargy

1st 3weeks on B1
Sorry Roy I'm sure I'm supposed to post this on Facebook I just don't use it. I'm very happy to report that the use of B1 has been very good for me I only wish I started earlier. I'm in my 11th year 7 years since diagnosis. Dr.C recommended one gram a day for two weeks and increase if all is well. Yesterday

Doc is adding Mirapex to Sinemet ...
Husband is in Sinemet 25/100, 4x/day since diagnosis 4 years ago. At recent visit with movement neurologist, he said movement is stiff and could be improved with a medication update. Decision was to try Mirapex. Starting with a .25mg Rx ... take 1/2 tablet a day for 5 days and then titrate up slowly
