Bloating and gas
My biggest problem with this whole
prednisone
/PMR journey right now is extreme gas and bloating. I've read that
prednisone
can cause this for some people (I look at least 6 mos. pregnant!). And it's not fat. I've actually lost weight since I started Pred, which I attribute to a much better diet.

Inflammation and RLS redux
It turns out that
prednisone
counteracts opioids, which explains why codeine stopped working. But the bigger issue is:
prednisone
is a powerful anti-inflammatory. If inflammation exacerbates RLS,
prednisone
should have made it better, not worse.

upcoming cataract surgery
do I take
prednisone
after surgery since I will be fasting overnight? How long do I have to wait until I can bend over? Does it take longer to heal with
prednisone
? I'm on 3 mg.

GCA Heart Issues
If so, shouldn’t the
prednisone
be relieving these symptoms? Any thoughts/suggestions will be appreciated. Thank you!

Exhaustion
I'm off
prednisone
entirely now for about 10 days and am exhausted all the time. I guess this is "deathly fatigue?" I tapered super slowly, had been on just 1/2 mg for a few weeks.

Increased inflammation-flare?
I did and I wanted to return to
prednisone
but she said she has no experience with hydrocortisone and switching back to it. I was surprised. She insisted I was getting off steroids and the Only option was Tocilizumab. She would give me a short course of 2.5mg
prednisone
.

Metastatic Prostate Cancer
Just started Zytiga,
prednisone
and hormone shots for recurrent prostate cancer that has returned and spread to lungs. Just wondering if anyone else is taking these drugs and what their experience has been with side effects the first month or so. Thanks.

Quick Question
I live in Canada and am wondering if it is standard practice in the UK to prescribe
prednisone
on a permanent basis for someone in extremely severe COPD as a help? It is here in different provinces. Thanks in advance😊
