lower dose prednisone
My respiratory consultant and rheumatologist have had a discussion and decided to keep me on 10 mg of
prednisone
until I see rheumatologist in June instead of stopping in may as planned as it’s obviously working providing this was a connective tissue disease causing inflammation and effusion’s, it’s

cortisone shot while on prednisone
He said it shouldn’t impact my
prednisone
tapering since it’s very localized. Should I be fine going ahead with it. I suspect that my higher
prednisone
dosages were helpful in masking the hip issues. Thank you all for great advice

prednisone taper
In the meantime, I would like to get off the
prednisone
, but not sure how to do it. My primary Dr told me to take 10 mg, but I was having some pain, mostly shoulder and upper arms, so I increased it to 12.5 for the past week. I’m gaining some weight, and think I’m getting the moon face.

Cortisol levels
When I got down to 3mg of
Prednisone
I had a flare. (But the diabetes disappeared!) I went back to 4.5mg and felt better but the diabetes popped up again. Now I'm between 3 and 3.5mg of
prednisone
again and a bit nervous.

Prednisone and heart disease
A post made by another patient prompted me to do a bit of reading and almost immediately I stumbled upon this: https://evidence.nihr.ac.uk/alert/low-doses-steroids-increase-cardiovascular-risks-in-inflammatory-diseases/ They do state that to lower the risks one should do all the usual (don't smoke,

On hydrocortisone after being on prednisone for close to 5 years
Anyone else had experience with going on hydrocortisone from
prednisone
after symptoms of adrenal insufficiency? Endocrinologist saying maybe she can get me off medication when I reach 10 mg.

Much Better
I have never felt so well after 3 weeks on 15 mgs of
prednisone
. I'm beginning my tapering. My situation is a bit complicated as I have both MS and CMT so I thought my problems might have been neurological. I didn't know I felt so bad until I started

taking prednisone
It scared me so much I split the
prednisone
into 3 lots, morning, lunch, tea. I want to know what’s best to take the tablets and am prepared to give another try if that is what every else is doing but to be honest it scared me. What are you thoughts/recommendations?

prednisone
for years and I’ve had a brain haemorrhage in between so can’t remember how I felt but I’m on 20 mg at the moment and I’m feeling so emotional and sometimes angry at my husband as he isn’t the best person with my current illness, he wants attention, he wants the illness in

Bad reaction to Prednisone?
Hello all Has any one had a very quick unpleasant reaction to taking
Prednisone
tablets. I have taken 10mg yesterday and 5mg today. I started feeling very woozy, lightheaded, as if I am drunk since lunchtime.

pmr again
Unfortunately my GP is sick so I can’t get a
prednisone
prescription until Thursday. I happened to have an old prescription so I took 15 mg of that the next day as I was in so much pain. Do you know if
prednisone
loses its efficacy? Mine was two years old.
