has anyone taken Kevzara for PMR
I was surprised because I don't think there were any medications for pmr other than
prednisone
. As with all of these meds. the side effects listed are horrendous. If anyone knows anything about Kevzara please let me know. My last attempt at decreasing the pred. hasn't gone so well.

Down to 25 mg Prednisone from 30, Feel Terrible
Hello, I tapered my
prednisone
from 30 mg to 25 mg on August 11. I felt great on Thursday and Friday last week. Since then, not so great… I am experiencing some aches and pains on the right side of my scalp, right temple area and at the site of the biopsy that was done this past April.

Increasing Prednisone to 40 mg?
My GP has suggested that I increase my
prednisone
from 35 mg to 40 mg before my first rheumatologist appointment on May 16. Her suggestion was in response to pain in my right temple and scalp tingling. I don’t have a lot of faith in this GP as she is uncommunicative with no rapport.

Cough, chest pressure, GCA
If so, it seems the
prednisone
would have calmed this by now. Any thoughts are appreciated. This forum has been helpful to me. Thank you!

upcoming cataract surgery
do I take
prednisone
after surgery since I will be fasting overnight? How long do I have to wait until I can bend over? Does it take longer to heal with
prednisone
? I'm on 3 mg.

Prednisone
as well as 300mg. Plaquenil. Lots of up’s and downs but trying to stay positive because I have been able to cope fairly well until this last month.

Feeling rubbish again at 2.5mg prednisone
Hello, I’m hoping for advice again. I was diagnosed in March 2019 and have spent 5 years slowly tapering with a couple of flares. The last one was a few weeks ago at 2.25mg when I realised my arm and shoulder pain and tiredness was a flare. I went up to 7.5mg for a week and then resumed at 2.5mg.

Rheumatologist Pred Taper Schedule
I was diagnosed with likely GCA this past April and am currently taking 40 mg
prednisone
and 15 mg weekly of methotrexate. My last blood work in May showed inflammation markers were within normal range.

Clinical Trial In Canada or USA?
He has done triplet therapy with Nubequa and Docetaxel, Zytiga and
prednisone
and radiotherapy for his hip and now Cabazitaxel. His MO doesn't tell him what treatment they want to do after one more cabazitaxel. My brother lives in Vancouver(Canada).

is this a flare?
After starting with pmr a year ago I’ve tapered down from 20mg to 2mg of
prednisone
and felt I was making good progress. About 2 months ago I hurt my right wrist carrying some bricks and that developed into a swollen painful hand.

GCA flair?
For the last few months things have been great and I was able to reduce my
prednisone
, very slowly to 4 1/2 mg a day. I am also on Actemra infusions once a month. This past week, on two occasions I was eating and my jaw made hard cracking sound. I have never experienced anything like it.
