Pramipexole to Sinemet to ?
I've previously posted that I had been using
pramipexole
(P) for over 30 years, had only learned about augmentation recently and was in the process of transitioning off P to Sinemet (S)(recommended by my PCP).

THC and augmentation
The earlier onset didn’t change, so the doctor is on the line whether it was augmentation or just natural progression that was already happening before I started

I am getting there but…
I have been slowly coming off
pramipexole
over 4 months, reducing tablets by a half every month. I am now on one and a half tablets. I have been taking gentle iron, 40 mg at night, with Vit c.

Pregabalin dose increase?
I am 55 years old and weaned off
Pramipexole
which I have taken for more than 30 years till augmentation. Both my kids also have RLS and PLMD. I really don't want to loose this job because of sleep struggle. Should I up my dose of Pregabalin 150 mg to 165 mg?

reducing Pramipexole plan?
I really don’t want to take a higher dose, and I don’t particularly like some of the side effects of
pramipexole
, so I’m going to put in place a plan to come off it.

Should I increase Pramipexole again after hospitalisation?
I’ve been weaning off
Pramipexole
for a few months now. An additional medical need led to Morphein prescription. It stopped RLS in its tracks- bliss. Then I had a bad reaction to Morphein ended up in hospital and had to stop taking it.

kratom issues
He’s had an Rls issue since childhood… and it’s only been the last 8 years on and off opiods , and
pramipexole
, that his symptoms are worse. Now the kratom is no longer working to make things worse he’s depressed. I also wonder if anyone can say if buprenoprine or Suboxone also trigger mania?

Augmentation last Christmas on
Pramipexole
and a hell of a time transitioning to gabapentin. Unfortunately though I could not stop the attacks even on high doses and taking it as advised by Sue Johnson. Helpful doc allowed me to switch to Pregabalin and self medicate to find a working dose.

Allergic Reaction to Sinemet?
I posted previously that after being on
Pramipexole
for over 30 years, I, at the direction of my PCP, completed about 2 weeks ago a transition over an 8 week period from P to Sinemet (100 carbidopa-200 levodopa).

Lifetime.
Still taking, at the moment
pramipexole
but suppliers didn't have any for my pharmacy this week. Will have to speak to my doctor to change my prescription over to Ropinerole. Again. Good luck everyone.

Transitioning off pramapezole
I am 90 years old and have been on
pramipexole
for over 30 years. Although I was aware that the
pramipexole
was becoming less effective (I had gone from 0.25 mg/day to 1.0 mg/day over those 30 years), I had done almost no research on RLS and was unaware of augmentation.

"Restful Legs" arsenicum alba for RLS - risk of arsenic poisoning?
(
Pramipexole
and Neupro worked, at first, and I wish I'd never taken them!) Dr. Berkowski is unfamiliar with arsenicum use for RLS and is concerned about toxicity. Has anyone else here used it? Thoughts on the risks? Thanks in advance for your help.

New Medication?
Wrote a new prescription for
Pramipexole
Dihydrochloride 0.25MG. Any information on this drug would be appreciated. ( Currently on 1200MG Gabapentin, if the new prescription works, I could take less Gabapentin if need be.)

I have got in a real mess with my RLS and I desperately need help
I have slowly reduced the
Pramipexole
to zero with no effects other than on the RLS. At the same time since Christmas I have been increasing the Gabapentin to find a satisfactory dose. At the moment I am on 12x 300mg spread over four doses in the day.

Good Morning Since dropping down my
pramipexole
from 6 tablets per day to 2 and starting on Pregababin my RLS has been off the scale… I have stopped going out completely and only put myself in situations where I know I will be able to walk which is the only respite I can get .

Ocular problem
I now take
pramipexole
twice a day and the stiffness and walking improve. I stop having big problem with my eye. Just a ptosis that is worst certain day until last week. I start having pain again and my eyebrow frooze for maybe 25 min in a position. An other day someone saw me eyelid drop.

Augmentation Concerns Being Overblown?
Rates of reduction should not exceed 0.25 mg (
pramipexole
) or 0.5 mg (ropinirole) every 3 days.

Gabapentin Dose, Caffeine and Alcohol
While working through the withdrawal from
Pramipexole
, my doc has me on 600mg of Gabapentin at bedtime. She has strictly reduced my intake of caffeine and alcohol. I was already on half-caf coffee due to my heart condition.

Pramipexole alternative.
I have just been informed by Pharmacy2U that they can’t supply my usual
Pramipexole
, which I have been taking for 25 years, gradually increasing dose from minimum to maximum with no problems. I therefore need an alternative. Any recommendations, please? Thanks.
