Should I increase Pramipexole again after hospitalisation?

Hey everyone. I’ve been weaning off Pramipexole for a few months now. An additional medical need led to Morphein prescription. It stopped RLS in its tracks- bliss. Then I had a bad reaction to Morphein ended up in hospital and had to stop taking it. Because I need space to recover, should I consider temporarily increasing the Pram again? I just seem to be swapping one kind of hell for another. Thank you.

If you have no alternative, then yes. It will just be a temporary back step in your reduction programme. That happens all the time. It's ok, and not a failure.

If it is at all possible to get something like the morphine, such as tramadol or low dose Oxycontin/Oxynorm, strongly emphasising the pain you are in and where you are in your reduction process, then that might be a viable option.

So much depends on the particular consultant dealing with your case.

All the very best.

another thing I think I’m discovering is that the morphine alternative I’ve been prescribed is on the Mayo Clinic hit list.😭

I don't understand.Oxycodone is Oxycontin/ Oxynorm.

Exactly what you should grab with all hands.

Sorry, I did mean oxycodone. It was just such a disappointment that it seemed to make things worse after the morphein. I guess I’m just going to have to chose which of the current ailments I focus on and any gains will be major.

Why not just go back on the dose you were on before you entered the hospital.

Thank you that’s reassuring. I did take an extra 1/2 tablet last night so I’ll see how that goes. Managed 3 1/2 hrs sleep from 6:15 am.
