Pramipexole withdrawal
My scenario, I've been on
pramipexole
for the last 3 months with constant dose of daily one 0.25mg tablet 2 hours before the bedtime. If I decide to stop, should I taper off by 1/4 of the tablet for 2 weeks 4 times or just stop it "cold turkey"? Thank you, all.

My Poor Poor Dad
Why oh why arent doctors up to scratch with RLS...Myself and my dad have suffered RLS for years and years. Thankfully I was able to get off Pramipexol after years of augmentation. I was put on Tramadol and Gabapentin which I've been on the same dose now for 2 years and touch wood, I haven't had any symptoms

Currently, I take the lowest dose of
pramipexole
and it’s under control , along with a probiotic, and krill oil. Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

Good morning everyone, I am augmenting from
pramipexole
, I take three 0.088 mg per day at various intervals. I have had an iron infusion which made no difference. My ferretin is over 200. I find it so difficult to reduce and am up all night.

Clonazepam with Gabapentin
Years ago, a doctor prescribed
pramipexole
. It worked until it didn't. Weaned off and started Gabapentin. It helps somewhat. I take 600 + 600 three hours later, before bed, as suggested here. I recently met with a pulmonologist for sleep apnea. I told him my story.

Long term plan
If you can manage to get down to a very low dose of
pramipexole
and get pregabalin to help you through, what is the long term plan? How long can you stay on pregabalin? How long do you go on taking iron? Reduce dose? Would be grateful for any advice. Les

I have finally got off
pramipexole
, over six months. I managed to get pregabalin from my gp, 150 (75mg) a day, but on a monthly prescription… i started on 75 mg at 7.30 and then the other at 10.30. That didnt work. I then tried 150 mg all in one go. No joy.

Advice on codeine v tramadol
Prior to this I managed to wean off
Pramipexole
. I haven't increased the dosage of any of my current meds because I had hoped that I could manage with the status quo, but unfortunately it's a rare occasion that I get to sleep at 2am - 4am is the norm now for me and I have to be up at 8am for work.

Pramipexole
I've been on
Pramipexole
for about 5years now. I take a very low dose of one .088mg tablet per night, but my doc says it's perfectly fine to take 2, as that would still be considered a low dose.

Novel PD Drug Tops Pramipexole ER With Fewer Side Effects
A novel experimental drug for early Parkinson's disease (PD) yielded similar results as commercially available
pramipexole
extended-release (ER) but with significantly less daytime sleepiness, a new study shows.

Looking for comments on this opening info sheet.
I am a doctor who got interested in RLS over 6/12 ago when my wife's RLS went crazy when she was trying to use Phenergan (sedating antihistamine) to sleep. After a couple of sleepless night she was a mess and complained "And there is no treatment for restless legs!!". I thought that could not be right

depression after pramipexole
hey everyone, I'm currently going trough the
pramipexole
taper ( down 60%) and its getting harder and harder but still bearable. I'm just wondering if everyone who tapered from DA and got DAWS suffered from a prolonged depression at the end? and how long did it last for you? thanks

Pramipexole update
Please note I was only on
Pramipexole
for six months and I only ever took two tablets per day. Any guidance would be much appreciated. Good luck to everybody else fighting this battle.

Neurologist appointment
I was even more astounded when she then proposed that the next stage was going to be to go back on
Pramipexole
but at a much higher dose. When I refused to take
Pramipexole
she wanted to know why I was so adamant, I had to explain the problems with this suggestion!!

Exhaustion and nausea
After 20 years of being on
Pramipexole
I stopped it overnight. It was not a good idea. Anyway I persevered and tried a bunch of meds - Pregabalin first, then Trazadone with Codeine, then Gabapentin. Nothing worked. This went on for a year without any meaningful progress.
