Long term plan

If you can manage to get down to a very low dose of pramipexole and get pregabalin to help you through, what is the long term plan? How long can you stay on pregabalin? How long do you go on taking iron? Reduce dose? Would be grateful for any advice. Les

You can take pregabalin for the rest of your life. Stay on the iron until you have raised your ferritin to at least 100 and some say 200 to 300. Once you reach that you can stop the iron but have a test again every few months to see if you need to start taking iron again.

thanks again for your expertise. I can’t imagine that the gp will prescribe pregabalin for life… we shall see! Thanks so much.

Everybody is different.I can't see why you shouldn't be on Pregabalin for the rest of your life--- as long as any side effects are bearable.

Good luck.

My GP has prescribed Pregabalin on repeat prescription. I did push for an appointment with the neurologist and he's sent a letter to my GP authorizing this. I can go up to 300 mg and am now on 175 mg. Push to see a neurologist!

Do complain and make it worse than it is. Honesty won't get you far in this instance. Good luck 🤞
