I am 8 days into taking a starter dose (5mg) of Lexapro for anxiety? My anxiety has gotten worse and I am not sleeping now. I am having to use xanax to settle my mind enough to get a little sleep. I am suppose to up my dose to 10mg today but am on the fence about this. I don't want to make things

Meds
Hey everyone. Obviously I know I’ll have to have to consult with a doctor, but I’m thinking about changing my meds. Right now I take Prozac and Wellbutrin. I’ve been taking both since last summer. However, in the last month or so I’ve stopped feeling the improvements to my mood, motivation, and hope

Health Anxiety
Hello, I'm a 70 yr old woman with severe health anxiety which I've had since I was 10. I have had therapy and have been on antidepressants for probably 15 years. Also valium as needed, but lately things have really gotten out of hand. I am jittery inside, have occasional myoclonic jerks, and I am convinced

My Thoughts on Zoloft
I took the medication Zoloft for about a year or so for depression and anxiety. Before I started taking it, I thought that it would "make me feel better" all around and help to boost my mood. It was a medication that my Mom had taken several years ago and it made a big difference for her (in a positive

Pleurisy in the time of Covid.
Dear All I had a light cough which came and went over the first 6 months of the year. It simply became part of the background and I stopped noticing it. In September I developed symptoms which all pointed to pleurisy. I phoned my GP but was given a telephone date 6 weeks later, when I did get to talk

Cross tapering from Zoloft to Prozac
Does anyone have experience with this? I’ve been on Zoloft since July but not seeing the results I’d like, and in bad habits since starting like laziness and gaining weight. My doctor is switching me over to Prozac. I am currently on 100mg of Zoloft, and eventually getting to 20mg of Prozac. For the

Reassurance
Hi everyone! Hoping someone can ease my mind. 2018-2019 I had a major breakdown and was switched from lexapro to buspirone and 150 Effexor. I’ve been doing great the last year. However, I hear the horror stories of going off Effexor. Now all I’m worrying about is going off it! I think this summer I want

Lexapro Vision and Hearing Side Effects
While not taking any other medicine or drug, I tried one 5mg Lexapro pill and woke up at 4am seeing a glow or halo around bright items, like my alarm clock. It also seemed to bring out tinnitus in my ears. It seems to really activate nerves it shouldn’t. I didn’t have that problem with Paxil, but

I’m realizing
I’m realizingThat there’s so much going on in the world that some of us don’t even know about or think about. It’s interesting when you hear about people who are psychopaths that lack empathy and do act spontaneously and unconsciously. They can become dangerous to society and there is no treatment for

Waiting over 3 years for psychotherapy.
Has anyone in the UK,who's on here had to wait a ridiculously long time to receive some form of psychotherapy. I was originally referred by the psychiatrist in October 2017, was seen by a therapist, this time last year with a view to offering me TFP (Transference Focussed Psychotherapy) but after 10 weeks

POST 11: MAY I HAVE A PERSONALITY DISORDER???
Hello All! I hope you all are well and keeping yourselves healthy during this COVID pandemic. As for me, I'm doing alright and maintaining those guidelines to prevent getting COVID. Back in July, I took a personality disorder quiz on Psych Central's website. Curious, I felt it was needed to understand

Cross Tapering Experience with Antidepressants
I'm new here. After 20-plus years taking Effexor for depression, with decreasing effectiveness lately, my psychiatrist has recommended cross-tapering from this drug to Zoloft. I would like to have others share their experiences coping with cross-tapering--that is, gradually decreasing Effexor dosage

Weaning off Effexor
I've been on Effexor for over 10 years with great success. However, I recently saw my Sleep doc who thinks that it may be causing my PLMD, which in turn can make me cranky and edgy during the day. He has recommended that I try and reduce my dose of Effexor from 300mg/day. I had a malabsorbtive procedure

Zoloft and Trazodone
I'm new to meds, just this week, and made a dumb mistake. The past 2 days, I've taken 12.5mg Zoloft for anxiety in the a.m. and 100 mg Trazdone for sleep in the evening. I also took Zoloft Wed a.m. I'm embarrassed to say, but this evening, when I should've taken the Trazodone, I took another dose
