She was thought to be allergic to aspirin so was started on daily
Plavix
(clopidogrel). No more ‘funny turns’. No more sharp head pains. What is this patient teaching us?

Neurontin, for nerve pain, does it affect arterial inflammation?
Hello Everyone, I am wondering if anyone has any information or experiences with neurontin and the inflammation we are dealing with in GCA and PMR? trying to do as much of the anti inflammatory daily living -- in dealing with this. I found this on a site which seems ok. Doctors are responding to

After diagnosis with APLS I was put on
Plavix
. I felt a lot better for a number of years and my very bad headaches went. Now I have the headaches back and i am permanently tired with headaches most of the time. I do not feel I can go on working any longer.

My neurosurgeon wants me to take Elavil for pain. He said he would start me on 10 mg and then increase jut to 25 mg if needed. Is there a
less chance of getting side effect from Elavil with this low dose?

A useful alternative to aspirin is
Plavix
(chemical name clopidogrel) – same dose of 75mg daily. When these choices don’t succeed, the next choice is a ‘big leap’ – to heparin or warfarin.

Pain in recovery
I am in recovery from drugs and alcohol...I recently was diagnosed with " opioid induced hyperalgesia" and was taken off all pain relievers. I have torn and frayed rotator cuffs...not bad enough for surgery yet. I also am in the 3 rd stage of degeneration in my 5,6,7th vertebra in my neck. The pain is

What will be a treatment for my primary aps when a combination of aspirin and Plavix is not reducing Cardiolipins from IgG 0.55 and IgM0.068
Plavix
(75 mg.) was added to aspirin. Levels went down to 0.55 and 0.068 but still well beyond normal. I haven't had any thrombosis up to now and the doctor (a Rheumatologist) says the treatment has to be changed. What will a suitable treatment for me?

Has anyone tried the 3 week heparin/fragmin trial?
I have been on
plavix
for the last month and have had an improvement in my headaches but thats all. I still can't really use my brain, take things in, remember things, words mixed up etc and have extreme fatigue. Has anyone else tried this and what improvements did you get?

Warfarin withdrawal, now I am worried
I am really scared I think I have had TIAs, but if I am put back to aspirin or
plavix
( which did not work) or plaquenil which I reacted badly too twice. My life will end, I can't function, in fact I can't even see properly if my INR goes below 3. Gosh this is so scary.

She was started on the classical pair of treatments - aspirin (later changed to
Plavix
) and Plaquenil (a quinine derivative) for the Sjogren's. Three months went by before I saw her again. "Thank you doctor. I've got my life back". The headaches, the aches and pains, the fatigue - gone!

His scores on the gym cycling and power-testing machines went up by over 20% while he was taking
Plavix
– and fell when he experimentally stopped the drug.

My Lymphedema DX and Necrotizing Fasciitis Story
I am happy to have found this location online where people with this condition are coming together to share info. I have been dealing with this for over a year but just recently got a firm diagnosis. It will help for me to summarize the last year's events and what has led up to this point. In April

The alternative was clopidogrel (
Plavix
), a medicine similar to aspirin in its beneficial effects on 'sticky' platelets. Eight weeks later, Mr. P.T. returned for follow-up. "Hard to believe". Almost complete improvement in the bowel symptoms. Is this just a fluke?
