RA with Sjorgrens
I am on
plaquenil
for 1 year which has helped the sjorgrens symptoms except for the joint pain. I failed methotrexate and Arava and Imuran. I’m simmering at tolerable pain with 7.5mg of prednisone and
plaquenil
and some occasional ibuprofen.

Over on the Lupus forum, lots of people have received the same email and, like me, are wondering why since l am not on anything other than
Plaquenil
. Anyone here received the same email? Can someone shed any light?

Problems with generic Plaquenil
Hi everyone, I’ve been taking
Plaquenil
for 14 years . Two years ago I was on
Plaquenil
generic by the manufacturer Prasco Labs. They stopped making the hydroxychloroquine . So in my search for another generic I found that some of them caused itching but no rash.

Unusual widespread body pain
My RA has been well controlled with a very low dose of
Plaquenil
for over a year now but about 2 weeks ago I suddenly developed what I thought was an eye infection - very red eyes and felt like sand in them. Got drops from the pharmacy and it cleared up somewhat after a few days.

SUDDEN Rise in ESR - Pt. 3
These treatments and their magnificent side effects have been endured: High dose steroids; high dose methotrexate;
plaquenil
; and Rituxan. The rheumatologist reports there has been "zero response to treatments".

low low carb diet while on prednisone
But I’m doing great on
plaquenil
and I’m down to 6mg daily of prednisone, I’m going down by 1mg per week as the
plaquenil
can take up to one year for the full effect, my doctor is letting me taper down my way.

Plaquenil: does it stop working properly during, for example, flu?
I was started on
plaquenil
early September. It took about 9 weeks to kick in, but when it did it was really very effective in reducing joint pains and fatigue. (100 % No pain and no fatigue.)

Plaquenil for treating PMR
My Dr. feels PMR is never going away, based on my lab results, and wants to start
Plaquenil
as a long-term medicine. Is anyone taking this drug? What has been your experience? What was the purpose in adding it?

Scalp SLE diagnosed April 2021, conflicting/contradictory medications - any advice?
Hi I've had a biopsy which confirmed SLE for scalp last year in France (where I live).Having suffered health issues due to serious overmedication here before, I was reluctant to start on 400mg of
Plaquenil

Rituximab covid paxlovid etc...
Rheumatologist stopped methotrexate for 2 weeks and
plaquenil
for 1 week. Prednisone 5 mg daily continued. Last rituximab infusion was 6/22 (two total). Question: Should discontinuing methotrexate be considered at this point? It has been 2 weeks since the last dose.

Transient Ischaematic Attack (TIA) or Lupus?
but I did have an opthamology appointment which had been booked because of the
plaquenil
on Wednesday and they couldn't see anything wrong with my eyes. the official tests have now started to determine if it was a TIA or something else.
