Pacs, Please Go Away !
Had my second ablation for atrial flutter back in September , first ablation was in 2016 for afib, that ablation worked for almost seven years. Have been having these weird extra beats, I felt them and they showed up on my Kardia . After some internet research, people told me they are pacs. For awhile

new to AFib
Hi, Last week I spent the night in hospital with AFib. I came home with 2 sorts of medication (beta blockers and blood thinners). It was a very scary process as I have always been healthy, despite my age , 67, and my weight, 17 stone plus. As soon as I came home I knew I needed to lose weight to help

Very low blood pressure
Hi again, I went for a recorder loop implant today, which I was quite relaxed in doing. I did go by taxi just in case, but felt quite unsteady in walking to reception. This was no worse than the Saturday just gone, when I checked in at A&E as I felt pretty unsteady also ( they found nothing by the

Generic Apixaban
Greetings! The US insurance I have for Medicare recipients increased the Eliquis price by about $900 for 2024. That puts my total price for the year, including the deductible, at about $2,000. I simply can't afford it so I'm considering alternatives. Does anyone in the UK have experience with the

KardiaMobile and Apple Watch
I recently wore a heart monitor for two weeks. While on the monitor both my CardioMobile and my Apple Watch picked up several episodes of Afib, PACs, and Etopics. The results from the heart monitor test showed I had some episodes of PACs but otherwise the test was normal. It never picked one single

Vagal a fib
I listened to a cardiologist on utube. He mentioned vagal a fib. Does any one what this is? It seems to be a younger cohort but I presume it comes with the usual meds. How can you find out if you have it? I seem to be able to stop a fib attacks with vagal manoeuvres and sometimes my a fib is brought

I am so confused about bisoprolol...please help.
Hi i was prescibed 1.25 dose of bisoprolol after being admitted to a+e on 7 Feb. I have known Afib, not permanent afib. Over past year i have been told by EP, top thorasic surgeon, and several cardiologists that anti arrthymia meds and rate control meds are not an option open for me to be presribed this

Post Ablation advice please??
I underwent an RFA for Afib and Aflutter in late last year (coming up on end of blanking period) for paroxysmal afib/flutter first diagnosed 5 years ago. I have been on Flecainide and Diltiazem for several years. Prior to the ablation, I would experience episodes about 2x a week for about 12-24 hours

Different treatments
Hi I have been in Afib twice before over a ten year Span one of these occasions was also viral I think. Last February 2023 I woke up with a bad virus which I had all week and stupidly worked through. We also have a lot of family stress to deal with, feeling my heart was out of rhythm again this being

coming off sotalol
I had my ablation in September. Just had my follow-up appointment this afternoon and the Doctor, who did my ablation, said it went well, my ECG was ok and he said I should come off the Sotalol tablets. I have been on these for a lot of years, so am a bit worried about stopping them. I had to stop them

What constitutes low heart rate?
Recently prescribed bisoprolol 1.25, consultant did say if HR drops to low I should stop taking it. HR is 34/35 when I'm asleep. Should I be concerned about this? HR seems to be okay during the day but difficult to establish because it fluctuates because I have been in constant AFib for two days now
