Fearful that nothing is found
I am due to have a nuclear
perfusion
scan on Friday ... as strange as it sounds I am quite fearful that nothing is found ... I had two stents fitted in 2017 and another Jan 2019 ... but throughout this time all tests ever done where always clear ?? yet I have had to have stents ??

Getting no where
Had myocardial
perfusion
scan, was told that was ok. Had lightheaded nausea for 3 mths, loss of concentration not feeling well, found small lesion on back of brain, had mri told it was a small bleed nothing to worry about.

Myo cardial Perfusion
Having still got this now and again after a month they put me in for a Nuclear Myo cardial
perfusion
scan. It might have something to do with my brochiastisis ( only minor) . My scan is a week tomorrow and I am scared after reading the leaflet about the Radiation.

Still to decide
Just a few days ago I put a question on the site about whether I should go for a Myo Cardio
Perfusion
test and there was some great advice but I still can't decide and it is the night before.Hi DD 13 I got in touch , eventually with specialists.

Horses and Hearts!
I have to go for a
Perfusion
Scan next week. My issue is the fitness bit........I have been told to 'take it easy' but how do I define that? All my life I have pushed barrows, carried buckets of water, horse feed etc and ridden, and not found it difficult.

Minor heart attack
I have a myocardial
perfusion
test coming up. I have no heart problems in my family, and I'm not overweight. I am quite shocked about it and worried, hoping that my test shows nothing serious. Any reassuring comments might make me feel better 😳

stopping medication
statins, nitrates, bloodthinners (Apixaban) and anti-coagulants (Clopidogrel) This followed what must have been a mild heart attack last July and a visit to A&E The medical report said that there was a release of Troponin which I understand is the sign of a heart attack Since then I have had a Myocardial

Caffeine
Since then I have had a Myocardial
Perfusion
Scan at the Royal Brompton Hospital and an Angiogram at Kingston and most recently an Echo Cardiogram there. My prescriptions have been increased to include more blood-thinners, nitrates and satins.

Treatment by ECP (external counterpulsation) - update
This link will take you to a folder containing two photos of me in ECP cuffs as well as before and after photos of myocardial
perfusion
: https://1drv.ms/f/s!AotwJo71WtI6g5RQSq84uPBnqKTcaQ . There is an extensive literature on ECP but it is difficult to find a good general introduction.

Heart Failure Genetic or Not!
I've had echocardiogram (which diagnosed problem) and have recently had a myocardial
perfusion
scan which confirmed problem (40% ejection) stress test results better than expected. My question, cardiologist telling me he feels my heart failure is genectic.

Fibromyalgia and statins
I am awaiting a myocardial
perfusion
and in the meantime have been put on aspirin and bisoprolol and a statin. I suffer from fibromyalgia and am concerned about the muscular pain issues with a statin. Are there any fibro sufferers who have experience of taking statins?

my husband has just had this scan done over 2 days he is seeing the consultant next week for results he knows that the l a d is severely damaged from heart attacks years ago. he is hoping that some part of this area will be able to be bypassed I think that is right but not sure does anyone know much

Scans
Hi All, The myocardial
perfusion
scan, went well yesterday. It was a stress one. I was told they may ask me to come back for a rest one? Saw my GP today. She changed my Gtn spray to a long lasting tablet. Only to take a half of this tablet. we left the beta blocker at the same dosage.

CT Scan
Had a phone call from hospital to ask me if I would go for a Myocardial
Perfusion
Scan. This I have next Tuesday. Had my Echocardiogram last Wednesday, my god wasn't it painful. I was glad when it was finished. They also want my GP to tiltrate my Beta-Blocker and give me a long lasting nitrate.

Smiling at adversity through gritted teeth
As I’ve previously posted, I have a moderate to severe leaky mitral valve, heart failure with an EF of 38%, and ischemic heart disease ( reversible
perfusion
defect in inferior wall and apex) so I had an angiogram on Wednesday to be told my arteries were in good shape ( fantastic!)

Chest compression pain but only at rest
Since then, 2 ECGs, clear; electrocardiogram - left ventricular systolic function mildly impaired, but left ventriculargram fairly normal; Invasive angiogram shows "de-novo lesion from mid LAD to S1 with 50-74% stenosis with full
perfusion
".
