I am due a double CABG next month (Happy New Year?!). It is Off Pump so my heart won't stop (hopefully). But.... what happens to my lungs, do they keep going?

Worried - Ureter blockage
Ureter blockage due to Radiotherapy damage 37 years ago is causing Kidney damage . Stent was unsuccessful and Surgeon now thinking Nephrostomy which is a tube going from your kidney to a bag. Totally debilitating . Has any one had any alternatives for the same problem ?

Wheezing/breathless post stent
First time posting :) I’m a 50 year old nurse with a recent stent placement in June. Probably similar story to many - had no idea I was experiencing angina. Thought I was unfit and breathless due to covid lockdown lack of exercise. Long story short, had a positive stress test, started rosuvastatin, aspirin

After waiting 1 year and 6 months and 3 courses of antibiotics, I have eventually got 2 teeth out today ,was very afraid, but thank goodness it went well. After H.A. and stent and a high dose of blood thinner, cardiologist said I couldn't get any teeth extraction until I finished tiagelor, which was 1

After subsequent stress MRI scan went to have another stent fitted into my D1 on Friday but unfortunately unsuccessful due to the cardiologist finding my LMS significantly diseased which was not picked up on the Angiogram,

Extreme fatigue
Hi all, My first post but just asking of people’s experiences of fatigue. I have always tried to keep fit and eat balanced but in April 2019 early into a 20 mile bike ride i got a dull ache over my heart, I completed the ride but the ache didn’t go all day, it wasn’t painful just niggling, next morning

Travel insurance
Hey everyone, does anyone have experience of travel insurance post CABG? Is it easy/cheap to get? I had a 4-way.. I also had a nephrectomy but I'm less concerned about that as an ongoing health concern Cheers!

Strange feeling in my chest, could it be Angina.
Sorry for the long post, but here goes. It is now almost 6 months since my heart attack and subsequent CABG x 6. Before my heart attack I felt healthy and presented no symptoms. I am recovering well after been diagnosed with acute CHD and am feeling so much stronger apart from niggles around the sternum

Chest pains 6 months after HA and triple CABG
I’m 6 months post CABG and HA. I’ve not had any twinges or chest pains for a few months until today. Both left and right side of chest. My recovery has been surprisingly unremarkable and I’m fit and well. I’ve taken some paracetamol which has eased the pains but it’s frightened me a bit. I’m not a panicker

Change of Lifestyle
Hi I had my heart attack in June. It was a shock. After having a Stent fitted I came home and now on lots of medication. I am struggling with stomach pain. Just wondered if anyone else has experienced similar? It could be a side effect of medication..or chronic indigestion. I had this checked out at

Hi, Had a stent fitted 3 weeks ago after a heart attack playing golf, 1 stent fitted, just a couple of questions. 1 does anyone else get upset stomach most of the day, sure it’s the tablets but not sure. 2 upset stomach seems to cause, or at least think they are palpitations Does anyone else get this

Chest pains 9 months after heart attack
I had a heart attack and stent fitted last October and have been pretty good ever since. I’ve lost weight and started playing golf again. Things were good but then had bad chest pains 2 nights ago. I used GTN spray but was very dizzy, almost passed out and had severe sweating. By the time the ambulance

Insurance Renewal Costs
Hello everyone. I had a x4 CABG in June this year and am recovering very well (touch wood). I'm a seasonal ski instructor and regularly work in the Alps (Austria, Italy and Switzerland). I have professional insurance cover whilst teaching but that only covers part of the day. The rest of the day

Shortness of breath post CABG
Good Morning, I really need some advice. My mum had Quadrupled last December. Over the past 3 weeks she has been experiencing shortness of breath and some pain over shoulder, neck and arm. It's not the angina pain she was getting pre surgery and only experienced some tightness around the chest area when

Angina
I had a successful stent procedure in LAD artery October 2019 and overall am keeping very well. However, every now and then I seem to experience a couple of days where I just feel under the weather and very, very tired ( like before stent) and I just wondered if others experienced this?
