I have PMR and blood pressure just plummeted for no reason. Ideas???
I live in Australia. I started with PMR in late August 2021. It was hit with 50mg of Pred and that stopped the excruciating pain it's tracks. Then the hard part started. I initially knocked chunks off the Pred, coming down really fast from 50mg to about 6 mg in three months. I had the odd bout of neck

Views on running after CABG?
I suppose this is a addressed to people who used to run before their operation.I used to run and I wasn't very good.Pre op on a treadmill I could run at 5mph, or twelve minute mile pace, if I veered over this I might have chest discomfort and had to take a rest.I was warned not to exert myself but felt

Post Cabg how soon do you think i can i lie on my side?
i asked the physiological this when i was still in and she said when i liked. To start with even slight movement was unthinkable,I lay and slept absolutely still.I would dream i was stretching and wake up with my arms braced. I've been lucky because i am fairly content on a pillow slope and laying stock

Inability to work is frustrating me.
I am a veteran Realtor, over 47 years of full time self-employment as a Realtor. Because of this prostate cancer nonsense and it's subsequent treatment, I am finding myself more and more fatigued, overwhelming so. I always kept myself in good physical condition because of my life's career choice. I

Well here I go again! W1R1
So to celebrate my 56th birthday (how did those years fly by) I decided to start C25K again. Doing this mainly to support my partner James as he returns to exercise after having a stent fitted 2 months ago. And what a beautiful morning I chose for this. Got out early before it gets too warm but

rhubidium scan result and angiogram/stents next week
I have more than 10% ischaemia in the lateral wall (circumflex territory) and epicardial calcification on CT for cancer surveillance. How mild or serious is this? I am having an angiogram next week with stent if possible but there is a chance I will need a CABG instead. Any similar experiences?

Why do I keep experiencing involuntary sharp intake of breath.
Hi I am m 3 weeks post CABG and increasingly I am experiencing sudden involuntary intake of breath. I can only describe it like when a child is sobbing and then suddenly draws in breath. My Sats are all good, breathing is otherwise normal. Has anyone else had this? 🥴

Angiogram results
Well yesterday was my test day. I posted about it was going to be an angioplasty but I didn’t really want stents if there was a problem I wanted another bypass as it’s so close to my Quad CABG being done last year then I’d rather get it fixed then repaired. I had a long chat with the cardiologist and

Why do the docs love prescribing these type of drugs. I never had them prior to my cabg. I have suffered the dizziness and light headed ness but it’s the overwhelming fatigue that gets me down. So last week l decided to record my b/p twice a day to see if that sheds any light on the situation. Long story

Afib and CAD double trouble and their vicious cycle
CAD (coronary artery disease) is a subset of a process disease called atherosclerosis, plaques of mainly fat build up inside arteries leading to intraluminal stenosis.. I post this one to draw attention to all of us, afibers, not trying to scare any of us. The purpose of this post is to do the right
