Had paroxysmal since 2016
I’m a 68 yo male and have had 5 or 6 AF episodes since 2016 and one in the last 2 years. Docs put me on Multaq (anti arrhythmia) and Eliquis 2 years ago and the last episode was this past June was diagnosed as Atrial Flutter. Normal sinus rhythm was restored about 10 minutes after a calcium blocker

Inflamation/magnesium
Hi Everyone, I have a question for the wise ones. I will try to keep it as short as possible. In early September feeling good I took the heavy loppers to the climbing roses on the house, next day my right shoulder was very painful and my left sore and with pins and needles at certain angles. After a

Endo diet and bowel symptoms
I'm currently trying to deal with a return of bowel symptoms which most like seem to be due to bowel endo (I have a RV lesion plus a second nodule on the bowel). I've had a hysterectomy and oophorectomy and have already had excision. I had an MRI earlier this year which showed adhesions between the rectum

Apixaban Eliquis vs Teva
Anyone had issues with Teva Apixaban? My wife has been switched from Eliqius to Teva and now has a number of side effects (anxiety/emotional, nausea, headaches, balance) that she never had while taking Eliqius for 9 years.

Metoprolol as rate reducer with no affect on rhythm....
So after my last Holter showed 8500 episodes of SVT (Atrial Tachycardia) in 14 days, with a 19% burden of Atrial Ectopy and 11% burden of tachycardia, my EP recommended an echo (which was normal, thankfully), starting Metoprolol, and Eliquis, while I wait for another ablation. I have tried, and failed

Trintellix and nausea
Has anyone struggled with nausea while taking Trintellix? I just started a few days ago but the nausea is driving me up the wall! I can barely eat and I'm having crying spells because I'm so frustrated with feeling bad. Pepto Bismol, Emetrol, and Tums do not help. I have ginger and peppermint candies

on going heartburn with esophagitis
I have had an endoscopy that found chronic eosphogstis. I have tried three PPIs ie omeprozole, lanzopropal and the one something like esomprozole. Other than watching what you eat and drink , have you found any natural solutions like peppermint oil or the like. Tried ginger, slippery elm but no relief

NHS black box warnings for anticoagulants…..
Just seeking some guidance. I’ve been a member of this forum since 2014 and I can only ever recall seeing two very recent member references to black box warnings for anticoagulants in general and Apixaban in particular. This prompted me to type this header into the search box at the top of this page

Coagulation for Afib
I was diagnosed with P. Afib two years ago and have avoided taking blood thinners. After recently having an EP study and cardioversion the cardiologist wants to put me on Redoxaban as I refused to take Eliquis. I have a pathological fear of taking blood thinners. At the sign of blood I would have to

Affect of tummy upsets on anti-coagulants,
I was wondering what effect it has on the absorption of anti-coagulants, should something cause you to have diarrhoea - how long does it take after ingestion does it take something like an Eliquis tablet to become effective ?

Alternative to warfarin?
Have any DOAC'S been approved as a safe alternative to warfarin in treating primary APS? I live in the States and will be meeting with a non APS specialist hematologist in a week or so to discuss the use of the DOAC eliquis for the treatment of my primary APS. I've not researched the use of DOAC'S

1 ablation 3 cardioversions
I’m 81. My afib was first diagnosed in 2020 but I’m sure it started well before. In 2021, I was prescribed diltiazem at ER. The next evening, after lying on my side in bed watching Masterpiece Theater for 2 hours, I stood up … and blacked out, falling and breaking my arm. I have low blood pressure, never

eliquis
hi everyone. I have always had a very sensitive system and been sensitive to medications. After not being able to tolerate the full dose of Eliquis with many side effects, I was put on a half dose. I am on week five of a half dose of Eliquis and I started getting very severe hip pain from an old injury

Experience with no medication!
Hello😊 does anyone as afib and doing nothing like me, I have persistent chronic afib for 4y now but NOT feeling it, only the cardiologist see it with control! He advised me to take Eliquis or I could have a stroke or heart attack! I’m sure and respect he’s medical knowledge and not against medication
