Does this sound like GCA - and what next?
However, her cancer has been kept under control for years with a type of drug called
pazopanib
and has been relatively limited, although it has started growing again slightly recently. Mum has believed she's had PMR for years, but it hasn't been formally diagnosed.

CRPC & 'Drug Repositioning'
Additionally, lenalidomide in combination with
pazopanib
was predicted to be most potent for CRPC. Conclusion: These findings support the use of a computational reversal gene expression approach to identify new drug and drug combination candidates that can be used to treat CRPC.

Renal Clear Cell Carcinoma stage 4
As this type cancer does not respond to main stream chemo, I am taking a "chemo type" tablet
PAZOPANIB
( 2 a day) Is there anyone out there who is on this drug? Have you had success? My prognosis was only 9 weeks ago and I have been on the above for 7weeks.

IRISH DAILY MAIL
It would appear that there is a new drug coming on stream called
pazopanib
which will work even better than Avastin. There is a trial starting in Uk and when they start over there, they probably do same here. It is an oral tablet taken daily.

Pazopanib has been used to extend remission in Ovarian Cancer Patients
'If
pazopanib
is approved for ovarian cancer, many patients will experience longer diseasefree and chemotherapy-free periods.'
Pazopanib
is currently approved to treat kidney cancer and soft tissue sarcoma.

Clinical trial
My husband has recently finished his 4th chemo infusion and, depending on the results of his scan next week, has been offered a place on the EORTC trial using
Pazopanib
versus placebo.
