I've been on cabozantinib for quite awhile, over a year. I've had my dose adjusted from 60mg to 30mg to 40mg and now to just 5 out of 7 days.
I had and have quite a few side affects but all are tolerable and the drug has been working. The most sever side effects are painful skin problems on feet, tiredness, constipation, diarrhea, hoarsness, and loss of taste/appetite. But the ease over time and sort of come and go. Not a bad tradeoff.
Thanks for answering! I was given the highest dose that I will start next week. Two years ago I received Sunitinib, I imagine that the side effects should be similar, I lost the taste and had a burning sensation in my mouth, some tiredness, chest pain, head, nausea. High blood pressure and feet and hands syndrome. Another effort to continue working.
Thanks again for responding. Glad to know that the treatment functions.
I have been on it for 2.5 months. It has been much better than others(sorafenib, Afinitor,Sutent. Axitinib) Nausea is the main thing I’m experiencing but my appetite is better. No mouth soreness, foot and hand pain, skin issues. Maybe some fatigue. I am on 40 mg.
