This is my first time I’m posting on this forum. I had Graves’ disease was on carbimozle. 2017 diagnosed. Relapsed 2021. I had my full thyroidectomy nearly 8 weeks ago. After my surgery I had tingling sensation on my face and arms within 10 hours of the surgery whilst in hospital. Was given Calcichew

MCHC high levels help
Hi there, I’m feeling particularly tired and dizzy behind the eyes. My thyroid bloods are normal for me (lower tsh as on thyroxine (150mcg AND t3 (25mg) and metformin) I wondered if I was anaemic as I’m exhausted, dizzy behind the eyes waking up in the night gasping for breath (only for a few

Thyroid tests
I have Graves disease since 2007 and had thyroidectomy in 2019. I have felt fine for the last 4 years on levothyroxine (75mcg Monday to Saturday, 50mcg on Sundays). I've recently developed digestive issues with some indigestion and morning diarrhea or loose stool at best. Had FIT test which was negative

I don't know what else to say, laughing. Insert big fat sigh as well. I have zero understanding why my labs continue to be so off. The endocrinologist is going to accuse me of non-compliance yet again (I will go NOPE, NOPE & NOPE.) I take those little buggers in the middle of the night like a champ.

Can NDT help with low calcium levels?
Since my total thyroidectomy in April I have been on put on 125 mcg of Levothyroxine and am tolerating it quite well ( no gastro problems like with most tablets and energy levels ok ) except for extreme muscle stiffness and joint pain. Calcium levels tend to be fluctuating between ‘ normal’ and low.

Request for levo increase
Hi there. My friend has been on levo for a number of years after having a tumour on her thyroid removed. She’s got a history of depression (although this has been a more recent thing) and is always very tired, recently having days in bed with no energy. She is only on 50mg levo a day, so I have been

Where was I?
I gave some insight recently into problems I’d had which led to a diagnosis of Vestibular Migraine. I posted as Everywhere. However, Everywhere disappeared and is now nowhere to be seen in the members list. As a result of an HU glitch which took them a week to sort out, I had to rejoin as Everywhere2

Help with bending the truth to obtain right prescription
Hi all, wanted some help/advice to enable me to continue at current good level of Levo. I am 8 weeks into 100 mcg Levo, having had a raise from 50 then 75. I have a total thyroidectomy and was very ill at 50 mcg Levo to the level that I was almost non-functioning. Found out Dr had not realised I'd

Avoiding dose reduction, advice appreciated!
Hi, I had a full thyroidectomy in 2000 and although it took a little while to stabilise / find the correct dose of levothyroxine for me, I’ve now been taking 125mcg for many years and feel pretty good despite a few issues with my white blood cells which is another matter… I have an annual blood test

Advice urgently needed: Endo reducing levo dose yet again based on flawed blood results.
Hello everyone I had thyroidectomy 1992 and since then been on levothyroxine. Roughly, 6 weeks ago levo dose was reduced by GP from 75/50mcg alternate days, to 50mcg daily due to T4 being over range. A very toxic iodine based medication I'm prescribed to treat afib, namely Amiodarone, is pushed T4 over

Advice
Doctors want to have a chat about my latest results. I feel well. 100% better than on levo alone. I take 150mcg levo and 25mcg T3 (brand Tiromel). I have told my regular GP that I self medicate T3. I have had full thyroidectomy, 2014. Any guidance gratefully received.
