Pericarditis
I had a
pacemaker
put in and one of the leads caused leakage. The fluid had to be drained from around my heart and the
pacemaker
lead corrected. However, now I am experiencing fatique, shortness of breath, feet goes numb. The doctor put me on colchicine but did not tell me I have Pericarditis.

Worried
A month ago I had a three lead
pacemaker
fitted. I can’t help worrying about everything and feel really scared. The letter they sent from the hospital outlining the procedure didn’t help. I know they have to tell you everything but I am absolutely terrified.

thank you
He is finally home after 3 weeks, he ended up having a
pacemaker
also due to low heart rate after surgery. He’s had little falls, he had dizzy spells before but got bad after surgery, with small blackouts. One point thinking he had a stroke.

Edoxaban versus Rivaroxaban
I am slightly reluctant with any changes to my medication as I suffered very badly from all the different AF medications resulting in a very successful
pacemaker
and AV node ablation. I now only take Rivaroxaban for my AF .

pacemaker registration card nhs
it seems the bhf and nhs state that a patient should be given a
pacemaker
registration card upon leaving an nhs hospital. But this did not happen. I asked for it before I left and was told one will be sent in the post. Has anyone in the UK had trouble getting this card? Thanks in advance

New to the group and just wondering if anyone has had similar symptoms post
pacemaker
insertion? I have been told I am very sensitive to it?

sick sinus syndrome & new ventricular pacing
I went for
pacemaker
check yesterday, following generator change in July. I’ve only ever needed atrial pacing but download showed I’d also begun ventricular pacing now also. I know that sick sinus disease can progress but it really knocked me.

Tricuspid Regurgitation
Long story but went in to have a
pacemaker
and AV ablation. At that time I was told my tricuspid valve was moderately leaking and they would keep an eye on it.

"Probable Myocardial infarction of indeterminate age".
Consultant advised to leave it alone and will probably need a
pacemaker
in the future. He did an ECG on me yesterday and the words at the top of the print out were what I have shown at the top of this post. Can anyone tell me if that means I have had a small heart attack at some stage?!

Atrial Flutter and AFib
Hello, Briefly I've had multiple Aortic/Mitral valve surgeries, with the second in 2013 I acquired Complete Heart Block, Permanent AF, Shunt, and my
Pacemaker
. I'm probably lucky that I've been reasonably stable over the years, other than every now and again having the PM settings altered.

Colonoscopy and endoscopy.
I was extra worried because a few ago I had a CRT-P fitted, which is a
pacemaker
with three leads instead of the normal 2. But they knew all about it and everything went well. I must say the staff were all wonderful.

Pericarditis following pacemaker implant
Thank you to all who gave positive responses to concerns about needing a pm. The op took place on 7th September a day earlier than expected, under local, completely painless and home the same day. The following day saw us in A&E with severe chest pain & shortness of breath, was told to sit on a chair

Not great news today
I will get a second opinion if I feel I need it if I am told I need the
pacemaker
but I am hoping the medication works. I know I have seeing other people mention scarring and being unable to have certain things done now.

Grateful for any Feedback on PVI Ablation Please
There is also the possibility of needing a
pacemaker
in normal sinus rhythm as my resting heart can drop down to 40 at times.

Unexplained pain
He also had a
pacemaker
fitted about 8 years ago after cardiac arrest, thought to be linked to thyroid problems. Since the bypass operation he has had three episodes of severe pain in the centre of his lower chest/ upper abdomen. Lasting about 2 hours then going away on its own.

CRT implant tomorrow
Anyhow, will see how the crt
pacemaker
helps and how I recover from that. Hopefully this will get through the next decade easier - 58 now. I was told it could make things worse or better.
