thank you to every who supported me through my uncles bypass, valve and aneurysm surgery. you answered questions and gave me advice.

He is finally home after 3 weeks, he ended up having a pacemaker also due to low heart rate after surgery. He’s had little falls, he had dizzy spells before but got bad after surgery, with small blackouts. One point thinking he had a stroke. He had numerous CT and other scans for his head and abdomen due to pain after eating. All came back clear and no issues, no one knows why he gets pain after he eats. He’s kept me on my toes, he was told no more scans due to radiation. They changed him from warfarin to aspirin and found a difference. He has no regrets and been one heck of a journey, he’s half the size so will get him some home cooking inside of him. But most of all he’s on the mend giving me cheek and back annoying me. After loosing my own dad when he was 61 due to cancer I was terrified I’d be in that situation again. The surgeon is a miracle worker. My uncle may have communication needs and learning issues but he makes me smile each day. Thank you all

Dear Lydia_1

What a lovely update to your uncles bumpy heart and health journey.

Your love shines through your words and I have found your support of him during this a completely selfless thing.

Good luck to you both as you begin to form a new life together , grow stronger and love deeper.

Take care and thank you for letting me be apart of your journey.

Sent with love

thank you and very grateful for everyone’s support.

He’s definitely challenged me, the abdominal pain unfortunately is still there but he had every scan bar magic eye. 3rd day home and already seeing the improvement. He has no regrets, he’s lost a lot of weight so will get him back to comfortable weight. So proud of him for how strong he is. The surgery was a success, pacemaker is in. I wished I’d read more about about recovery.

Hello :-)

He has every test done so at least you know there is nothing wrong and in time that pain hopefully will improve he will be more relaxed now he is home start eating better and it can be surprising what that alone can do :-)

You always make me feel you feel you should be doing more or know more regarding the situation but none of us do but one thing you do and he is very lucky is you love your Uncle so much it comes through the messages and he is lucky and with you caring and loving him as you do he is going to be just fine :-) x
