Since then I have had a runny nose, blood in the mucus and occasional nose bleeds. My oncologist was not too concerned. No Avastin on my 6 th chemotherapy as I am now waiting for

On to my next treatment plan...
I had Clear Cell Ovarian Cancer, I then had 3 rounds of chemo, a total hysterectomy, then 3 more rounds of chemo. I saw my Gyn/Oncologist in December, & she told me that I was in remission, & my CT Scan had no signs of Cancer.... But she wants me to start a maintenance of Avastin for 2 years. Has anyone

Chemo side effects tips
Hi All. I'm having a bit of a challenging week. I'm currently on carboplatin and Avastin. Just had my third round this Monday. Due to temperature spikes at home on Thursday, I was then assessed in hospital. I didn't want to cause a fuss and thought I should just ride it through. Told not to do that.

What Next?
I have been on this forum for a few years now, and have seen that treatment usually follows the same procedure. I have had Carbo/Taxol with Avastin, Carbo/Caelyx, Rucaparib and am now ready for the next goody bag. Single Taxol has been suggested, but I have heard that this is not very successful. Does

One dangerous ride !!
Had an appointment yesterday with my oncologist. Awoke to falling snow , didn't look too bad and the road crews usually have the major roads salted and cleared early .We set off , for a 10.30 appt . Conditions gradually became worse and traffic was single lane and gradually we were in swirling snow

Fasting, chemo and cancer
Hi everyone, I would like to know if any of you have seriously tried fasting and if it was beneficial at all for you? I regularly do intermittent fasting (almost every day for the past 2 years, when possible. Usually easier when at home) but I have not tried anything longer than that. I am willing

Hi everyone,
I am having avastin at the moment. My appointment was at 11 o’clock and the avastin is only half an hour . But there was confusion as to how much avastin I was having. One nurse thought they doubled the dose so I only come in every six weeks. I kept saying no I’m every 3 weeks and it turns out I was

Happy vibe/ca125 predicament
I know how reading positive posts has helped me over the last 21 months since my diagnosis, so I thought I’d share my little bit of positive news in the hope that it helps lift somebody else’s spirits. I finished my year of avastin in May, after my first line treatment - 8 hour debulking surgery a

How long does it take Avastin to start working? What if it isn't working?
I finished my chemo on Sept. 17th and had 3 Avastin infusions without chemo (2 with chemo for a total of 5) I had a CA125 test yesterday before my treatment and it went up to 152 from 53!! I'm so totally freaked out. It was lower before surgery, when I had 4 chemos (45). It shot up after surgery to 125

Re Challenge with Carboplatin after allergic reaction
Hi all, I finished my first round of chemo following radical de bulking in February. Unfortunately my Ca125 has been steadily rising since then on Avastin . It’s recently jumped up and a CT scan shows possible activity so I will now have Carboplatin and liposomal doxorubicin . The only downside is that

CA125 rise but clear PET/CT scan
Hi everyone, I have been going through this OC journey with my partner for the past year. She was diagnosed with OC 3C in August 2020 and has been on Avastin for almost a year now after chemo. We have stopped Avastin just recently. For the last 3 CA125 checks, her levels has risen steadily from 6, 17

Avastin with Olaparib dilemma. Who to go to for a 2nd opinion?
My onc. First said I could make a decision on whether I have Avastin with Olaparib or just Olaparib. Later said the group meeting advised Olaparib without Avastin best way to go for me as I have congenital Ehlers Danlos Syndrome which makes all my soft tissues too stretchy and prone to long term 2 year
