Hi everyone looking for some advice, I've been on Enbryl injections for the last 4 years but they are no longer working for me, I have been given the choice of Adalimiumab injections or
Olumiant
(baricitinib) tablets, have been reading up on both and would love to go on the tablets but side effects look

Desperate for feedback
I started
Olumiant
2 days ago and the side effect of nausea is AWFUL. Question: for those of you who have taken it for awhile, does the nausea get better with time?

Well treatment is going really well for the 1st time in about 8 years the swelling in my body has reduced dramatically I am having low dose steroids occasionally until the
Olumiant

Increase in medication
After realising that it was probably not a good idea to up my mtx (even if by injection) due to my slightly raised liver results (which pre date diagnosis) she suggested adding in either sulfasalazine (consultant doesn’t favour this as much) Humira or baricitinib (
olumiant
).

Treatment with Tofacitinib Helps Relieve Arthritis and Rash Symptoms in Lupus Patients, Study Shows
This agrees with prior tests reported for a different JAK inhibitor, baricitinib (sold in the U.S as
Olumiant
), in lupus patients and animal models. Two patients experienced treatment-related adverse events. One had herpes varicella zoster (shingles) and the other had alopecia (spot baldness).

Olumiant (Baricitinib)
Morning. I’ve just been advised by my consultant that I need to change my biologic as none of the usual ones have worked over the years. Anyone have any experience of this bad boy? It’s apparently been used for only 2 years, which makes me slightly nervous.

Wow some great news ! How did I ever cope without a fab consultant.
So no treatment since then after only 8 days of
olumiant
(so disappointed) but today doc has decided with loads of discussions with immunology that
olumiant
can begin again with penicillin V as a immune system prop up.

Olumiant
was beginning to help.

Baricitinib (Olumiant) / high LFT’s
I’ve been on this for about 2 months now and was doing really well but now my liver function tests are elevated and I’ve been told to stop taking it. Flaring already 😞 ... anyone else had this ? x

Both of us at the hospital this morning.
I am having my drugs changed
Olumiant
(baricitinib) i have to stop the hydroxy and sulpha. He has given me steroids to see me through until i go back in a month. He was brilliant with me. Hubby had a colonoscopy which though they went in he wasn't cleared out enough.

Etanercept/Benepali or Baricitinib/Olumiant and weight gain?
Hi there After a year and a half of trialling different DMARDs for my RA with no success, Im now being asked to consider starting either Etanercept or Baricitinib. Ive been reading research and patient forums to help me decide but cant find any info on Baricitinib and weight gain/loss. Just wondered

New to forum
Just been offered a new drug called
Olumiant
which is brilliant news for me because I’m struggling a bit to say the least. Have low +++ immune system due to failed treatments in the past. I would be very interested to know if anyone is taking this new treatment and how they’re doing on it ?

Pain medication/ help
I am now into week 3 of
Olumiant
/ Baricitinib but so far have not had any let up in symptoms. The pain is becoming increasingly unbearable. I was taking co-codamol 30/500 but recently switched to tramadol and neither really help. They take a slight edge off.
