I think the generic name is baricitinib. If you put that in the search box I think you should find some previous posts from people who are on it.

One of the people in our local Gwent group started it last year and is thrilled with it.

Hello, I am on this drug. It's over 3 months now and it's the best I have had however my right hand/wrist remains a problem. Seeing my rheum this month.

Thanks for your reply,sounds promising.

My OH has funding to start this, providing another consultant will speak to Rheumatologist first(Sigh)! Hoping this is more effective than Mtx and Salfa comb. and mostly that the terrible fatigue lifts. Hope it works well for you

I been on it for about 10 weeks and am feeling better than I have for ages. I'm taking just 2mg instead of the usual 4mg because of complications caused by another health condition. Experienced headaches in the beginning and was told to have a week's break from the baricitinib - been fine since. I'm still in pain but it's less than previous, with the exception of my feet that is, for whatever reason they are just as painful as before I started the baric.

Thanks Suzie. Glad it's helping you too.

I'm a little disappointed that I still need to take strong pain relief, but am really thankful for the relief it has brought me. :-)

Are you keeping good re infections? I'm also taking pain relief. This week hasn't felt like the Baracitinib is keeping things calm. A review with Rheum soon. X

All good regarding infections.

Have you noticed increased fatigue since starting baric? I have days when my arms and especially my legs are so heavy that it takes some effort to move them. Can't say I've experienced this pre-baric.

YES! It's driving me up the wall. I feel lethargic all the time and inflammation is far from calm. I have spoken to gp. It is assumed the cause is Fibromyalgia. I'm not convinced. Fatigue is worse since this drug. Haven't a clue what's next... x

I’ve been on this for 3 weeks - no improvement at all so far, but I am hoping it starts to work soon. It’s very early days for me.

I was on baricitinib for 6 months. Unfortunately it did nothing for me except wiping out all my energy and leaving me totally lethargic. I have been off it for 3 months and despite continuing pain (on MTX) I feel so much better - able to get back to aqua fit and lost 2 stone in weight. Good luck with your trial of olumiant

This is interesting nanny bee. The lethargy is awful. I used to bounce out my bed when the sun rose and do my yoga stretches! The mere thought of that now makes me hide under the duvet. I have also gained weight which is not me at all. Did you report the loss of energy to your rheum? I assume from your post the Baracitinib wasn't controlling inflammation, is that right? X

Yes shalf I got no relief with the baricitinib. The rheumy took me off it and I have review due tomorrow. Not sure where from there although I am depending a lot on mind medication just now and pushing myself as far as I can

I have been on this ("Baricitinib") since nearly 6 months & it has made a new woman of me. It's v new + expensive, so I'm v grateful. All the best x

Hi Hobbledehoy , you have had success with Baracitinib - Fantastic! X

As unpleasant as this lack of energy is, I'll take it in a heartbeat over the awful debilitating pain and stiffness I suffered with for what must be getting on for 3 years now. The lethargy does affect my mobility on times, but nowhere near the same extent as the pain and stiffness did before I started baricitinib. I feel so much better mentally not having my wife do, or at least have to help me with simple little tasks. I still wouldn't be able to manage without her that's for sure, so divorce is not on the cards, ;-) but I'm ever so grateful for baricitinib making both our lives that bit easier. Just hope an infection doesn't rear its ugly head again.

I too have just started on Olumiant [baricitinib] I started two weeks ago, and as yet am not having any side effects. Perhaps we could keep in touch and let each other know how we are getting on. Most replies on this web site say this drug is working well for them. I look forward to hearing from you.
