Asking for yet more expert advice from you wonderful people
I had been reducing per DorsetLady’s plan pretty successfully down to 24 in April. About 10-5% a month. In May, I was suddenly having consecutive days of literally only 5% in the gas tank. Very very odd. Quick background: Have been on this GCA journey for 3 years now (2 years on prednisone after a

Vaginal bleeding with bowel movement? 😅
Not the nicest post, I have the Mirena coil fitted and low
oestrogen
combined pill on top to stop bleeding, all working well to stop periods. Still have daily pain but manageable, worse when sitting or driving for more than 10 mins and constant back pain.

Go off estrogen...?
I hope it's OK to ask about other hormones than thyroid hormones as well. I was put on bio-identical estrogen (Estrogel) last year, to be used 25 days a month, along with progesterone (Utrogestan, 200 mg) to be taken ten days a month. The hormones were prescribed by the anti-aging doctor who also prescribes

High MCH/MCV
I’m curious as to why MCH/MCV would be consistently at the top/above range when B12 is adequately treated, folate levels are great and other factors are all ok (thyroid &
oestrogen
levels). I don’t suppose it matters if I feel mostly ok but if anyone has the answer I’d be interested to know.

Help Reviewing My Mothers Thyroid Bloods
The doc also said because my mother is getting older she will have less
oestrogen
so will not need so much thyroid medication. GP wanted her to take 50mcg mon, wed, fri and the other days take 75mcg. That seemed very odd to me. * Over the years her GP has slowly been dectreasing her dose.

Diethylstilbestrol when faced with "economic constraint".
New study below [1]. We see so many posts on Zytiga, Xtandi & even more expensive drugs. This study is from Lahore, Pakistan & reports on DES [Diethylstilbestrol] use in CRPC cases. "All patients were treated with DES (2.5 mg) initially, but the dose was increased for some patients to 5 mg in combination

Is it back...again?! Really struggling to find the strength to deal with this 😭
I’m on HRT because I’m only 30 and I was told there would be health risks if I didn’t have an
oestrogen
replacement. Can endometriosis grow/return because of the HRT? In the last few days I’ve started having the horrible, all too familiar, pain that has always eventually returned.

16 years since diagnosis and still unwell
Had
oestrogen
positive breast cancer four years ago, in remission but am trying to do everything to lose weight, get healthy and think doctors don’t believe me. Have been saying I feel undertreated for years but they say bloods are normal. What can I do?

Anyone have any experience/knowledge on this little know testosterone metabolite? I'm very interested in Testosterone therapies these days as I slowly shrivel up from ADT Supposedly this Testosterone variant is anti-carcinogenic, stimulates estrogen receptor beta, and more. Sounds very interesting but

Hrt after hysterectomy leaving ovaries and endometriosis? Combined of just estrogen?
Hi hoping for any advice? My nurse today said I could try hrt patches as I do had hysterectomy with ovaries that are left and playing up. Originally my consultant said I couldn’t have hrt. She has given me combined patches of estrogen and progesterone to hopefully not stimulate endo. she wasn’t sure

Ellest Solo to Premarin
Hi, I've been on Ellest Solo for about 6 years now following TAH BSO and never stopped suffering from stiffness and aches feeling like 100 instead of 51. Just had full works blood test results back and all ok so Dr put me on the subjugated oestrogens from female horses- better known as Premarin.

Awaiting diagnosis.... ? PMR
My fear here is that PMR may be diagnosed and I could be put on steroids (which I know are wonder drugs but I am worried about them) when in fact, it could simply be low
oestrogen
not suppressing minor inflammation...... any similar experiences?

Think I am being set up by Dr's.
I don't know if I should be posting this rant under thyroid UK, thoughI have done before. All I know is that following advice from Thyroid UK, and after sourcing T3 and metavive, iron, vitamins, and supplements - I am so much better, and no longer have the symptoms of CFS, although I am extremely depressed

When I went in for the final lining check, they expressed their concern that though the lining looked 'okay', they couldn't be confident that the low-dose of
oestrogen
I started on wouldn't have an effect on implantation.
