Enzalutimide and high blood pressure
Husband has been on Enzalutimide 8 weeks 160mg alongside Zoladex for CRPC he had a week of bad headaches, with flu season around we just thought he had caught something before realizing it could be his blood pressure so when we took it it was off the wall for him. His Oncologist is on vacation so the

Update after hysterectomy for adenomyosis
I posted here just over a week ago with the background and my pre-operative anxieties: https://healthunlocked.com/endometriosis-uk/posts/150262788/adenomyosis-should-i-have-hysterectomy so I thought I'd update. When I went in to hospital I was still quite ambivalent and fearful. But when I talked to

Mood and Zoladex
Hello, I hope you’re all coping as best you can today and that there’s been a little light in your day. I am only on my second week after my first Zoladex injection and I’m just struggling a bit with low mood, feeling depressed and anxious and very emotional. There are a lot of horror stories out there

Results of MRI
So saw the endometriosis consultant today and he was very good. My MRI scan came back and showed extensive endometriosis that has obliterated my Pouch of Douglas and fully attached my rectum and bowel to my cervix. I've got an endo cyst on my left ovary and blood in left fallopian tube. Cervix is swollen

Starting on Verzenio
Hello all my fellow thrivers! After taking Piqray + monthly shots of Fulvestrant and Zoladex for more than a year, my latest pet scan revealed progression and found new mets in liver, lymph nodes and bone. Therefore, my oncologist is starting me on Verzenio 100mg next week while keeping my Fulvestrant

Zoladex experience
Hello.I have now had 2 zoladex injections and was wondering what anyone else's experiences have been like whilst on this injection. Before zoladex I was on decapeptyl but was switched because it was giving me headaches and shortness of breath. To be honest I feel even more shit now. I am struggling

Adenomyosis, should I have hysterectomy?
The short version is that I have adenomyosis. I've always had heavy periods with period pains that make my thighs numb and require prescription painkillers. At the age of 44 I had some symptoms of perimenopause and tried HRT. After two years I came off and that seems to have triggered a strong reaction

Should I have a hysterectomy?
The short version is that I have adenomyosis, but it is well enough managed on zoladex/Tibolone that I'm not having any significant pain and not bleeding enough that it is a problem, but I do have lots of more minor issues and my consultant thinks a hysterectomy would be better. I've got the op booked

Saw a specialist
I saw a specialist in endometriosis last week and it was eye opening. I had to pay for it or wait 12 months so I opted to go private. I spent over an hour with him and he was incredible. He explained everything and was very practical. I had a list of questions and he answered all of them. I already know

zoladex injection number 4
so I’m about to have injection number 4 on Thursday. I am so undecided what to do. It has been an absolute rollercoaster of emotions and symptoms/side effects so far. The last one I was undecided about having but the fact it has pretty much got rid of my pelvic pain I thought I would soldier on with

Xeloda and Zoladex?
Hi everyone, hoping someone can help clear this up for me. Last week I shifted to Xeloda from Piqray. I asked my oncologist about whether I continue with monthly shots of Zoladex, which are administered by my GP, and she seemed a bit unsure, then said no. I left the hospital without much confidence and

Zoladex information please
Morning, I'm a member of another group on Facebook and I'm amazed by how many women have posted saying that zoladex has NOT stopped their bleeding. I don't understand this so wondered if anyone else had the answer. I thought zoladex would shut down the ovaries and there would be no more flooding. Am

Going Private
I can't wait any longer so I've decided to go private and I've booked to see a consultant next week. I can't get my head around the fact I can see the same consultant I have to wait a year for on the NHS next week if I pay £200. I'm 50, currently on continuous provera and estrogen and I'm bleeding heavily

Adjuvant ADT & duration
When studies refer to adjuvant ADT with radiation are they counting the length of time from the start of RT or the end of the RT course ? And as previously questioned I didn’t quite get the answer I was looking for. In research when they refer to 6, 12, 18, 24 or 36 months of ADT, are they counting

Things I Like About ADT
I know that no one, like NO ONE, actually wants to be on ADT. There are a lot of downsides to it, and complaints about the fatigue, lack of sex drive, etc. are a common theme on this forum. I'm about a year out now from starting on Zoladex shots (a drug that works in the same way as Lupron), and I
