Muscle Spasms/Spasticity
I'm having these really weird muscle spasms & what I think is spasticity. My PCP gave me flexeril. I have an appt with neuro next month. Flexeril isn't doing diddly. Any suggestions on things to help that I can do until then?

Dry Orgasms and retrograde ejaculation Ouch!
I just finished 30 LDR about a week and half ago and still on Silodosin 4mg twice a day. I've started mastrbate again recently and have been having groin pain after each session. Has anyone experience this side affects and will it get better? Dan58

Awful lot of levodopa for such a short disease duration
Anyone on 6 x Carbidopa Levodopa 25/100 mg, less than 2 years after diagnosis? My neuro is increasing my c/l from 1 tablet 3 x a day to 2 tablets 3 x a day. It seems to me like it's an awful lot of levodopa for such a short disease duration. Anyone else on such a dose under 2 years since diagnosis

Nuepro patches for nerve pain.
I was at my pain dr. appt yesterday letting them know how not so well the Mirapex was working. They were shocked !!! Not. Kinda expected to hear it was a bust. I did make a report of daily pain scales and where I was feeling the pain and that my sleep has greatly diminished. Then I asked about Nuepro

New Rheumie Switching Me to Rayos
Today I saw a highly recommended Rheumatologist because I wanted to address my morning pain/stiffness in my fingers, hands, wrists, arms, and shoulders. I had tapered from 15mg to 7 in about 8 months but mornings were not too good until pred kicked in about noon. He did not think that this was acceptable

Stopping vitamin supplements before a thyroid test
I am due for an annual thyroid test as my medication needs reviewing. I take vitamin D, omega 3 (fish oil), magnesium glycinate and vitamin B complex supplements. I know that I should stop taking the vitamin B tablets as they contain biotin but what about the other supplements? Should I stop taking them

Neuropathy or Tendonosis??
My rheumy sent me to a neurologist as he thought I had chronic neuropathy. It wasn't! Neurologist thought 'chronic tendonosis'. (Both bl...y painful though)! Not sure what I have!😏 Since, I have read on here some of you have 'burning' in knees and ankles and put it down to arthritis. I think I'll

A beneficial side effect from pred
For some weeks now I have been yoyoing between 2.5mg, and up to 4mg. This is because, although I have spent quite a long time on 2.5 I'm not sure it is quite enough to control the PMR so a brief sojourn to a higher dose has always helped. Yesterday, I had already decided to go to 4mg for a day, which

Serious Foot Pain
For many years my right foot has always had a numbness and 'frostbite-like' burn in the toes. I have had times with occasional foot pain walking and squatting down. Lately there is a much deeper foot pain when walking and other activity. If someone else has this type of pain, what helps best? I am

Review article on photobiomodulation and the brain
Here's a review article on photobiomodulation (aka low level laser therapy [LLLT], 'red light' therapy, LED therapy). It summarizes the peer reviewed, published research on the topic - with emphasis on its use in neurodegenerative diseases and brain injury: Photobiomodulation and the brain: a new paradigm

Stupid insurance.
The insurance doesn't cover Horizant and the paper they sent my Dr says it can't be appealed because it is Gabapentin. I can take Gabapentin and get the same results. I say Bullshit!!!!! When I went to bed last night my pain on the pain scale was a 9. My legs throbbed and I did very little yesterday.

Horizant vs Nuerontin
My new insurance won't cover Horizant. Because it's Gabapentin in an extended release. At least that was how it was explained to me. So I gotta go back to Gabapentin. When I was last on Gaba I was at 3600 mg a day. Horizant is only 1200 mgs a day and it works so much better. My PCP is who is controlling
