I developed tendonitis in both hands - it did improve once I was on pred though. It still occassionally pokes its head above the parapet but nothing like it used to be.

Yes I too get bouts of swollen and painful fingers. Sometimes it extends to my wrists and as far as my elbows. Sometimes just one hand, sometimes both. Sometimes I can link the cause eg 5 minutes of gentle pruning with a pair of secateurs, or chopping some vegetables to make soup. Other times it just appears randomly. It can take 2-3 weeks to resolve. Hope it improves for you soon.

Just a thought- are you reading heavy books as you’re on holiday? Sometimes the strain of holding a book can be all it takes ………

Thanks for comments. No books only games as weather is very wet outside....maybe doesn’t help being sedentary.

Just throwing this out there because it seems as though changes in weather patterns affect me. Particularly when a low front moves in. I’m a newbie but I did wonder about this coincidence

I don't think so - we've just had a cold front pass over and I've been in so much discomfort it isn't true! May is supposed to be like a UK summer here - more like november this year!!

I can empathise with you as I have recently developed pain in both hands. It first started before Christmas when I helped a friend paint his workshop. It took about 5 weeks for that to die down and it was just my forefinger on my right hand. As I said it’s now both hands. On holiday now in Minorca for two so hoping to have a good rest, do some walking and eat healthy. I’ve been taking Zapain (codeine and paracetamol) which sort of helps.

Thanks for sharing. It seems to be getting worse so hoping in 3 days time when home I can then get some rest and begin healthy eating and drinking again! It may be the excesses here!
