hello mark and many thanks for your reply. No he definetly said Parkin as my daughter was with me and he said it so easily we just looked at each other to make sure we heard right.
Parkin is a protein encoded by the PARK2 gene. Mutations in this gene lead to degradation in the mitochondrial outer wall and PD. So my guess is that either you have been tested for this mutation or the neurologist is assuming it because Parkinson's runs in your family?
thankyou OKWY. Sounds a bit complicated for the layperson. Do you know what it means as far as having Parkin they never actually said it to me just was reading out a part of my file to a student. Is it just like different ingredients but the same result.
