Temgesic is working!
I have been on the neupro patch for a number of years with great results. However, I know it’s only time before augmentation kicks in. So after reading previous posts about Temgesic I discussed it with my GP. She agreed to prescribe it and I have been great for past 12 days. I’m glad to be off the Dopamine

Sinemet vs Rytary
In my 5th year and thus far, I’ve been taking Mucuna, azilect and Neupro patch still doing well with slow progression with symptoms only on the left side. I exercise daily work full-time and lead a normal life. I have no off time, my symptoms are pretty much the same all the time. My main complaint

How does everyone differentiate between RLS symptoms, vs. augmentation from one of your meds vs. withdrawal symptoms
I have been dealing with RLS for 20 years and the past year has been by far the worst with significant escalation of the disease. I have experienced augmentation from Mirapex and then severe withdrawal due to very bad advice from my neurologist. I was then put onto Neupro patches at 2mg and a week

Neupro patch side effects?
I'm wondering whether rotigotine can cause character change. (I'm not referring to the well documented changes like compulsive behaviours) I know that when I came off ropinerole after being on it for many years, my sister said to me 'You're back!' and I could tell the difference too. I would have

Mannitol and Dopamine Levels
My husband started 1 tblsp of mannitol per day a month ago. He responded immediately with a lot more energy, mobility, cognitive clarity, balance....many improvements. He’s had Parkinson’s for 14 years, and at this point any spike in his dopamine levels causes hallucinations. If he gets too much he

Symptoms
I was reading some other posts and I wondered about my symptoms and why they seem to be worse than any one elses. I was diagnosed in 2013 and have progressed pretty fast. I now have to use a walker to walk and I feel "drunk" everyday. And no, I don't drink. My eyes don't work well anymore and I

Kratom/Neupro
Thanks to all!! I’ve had RLS FOREVER and I’m now 79 and it’s so acute I don’t know where to turn. Kratom is somewhat helpful but not terrific. I also have a neupro patch but experiencing bad compulsive behavior asa side effect. Does neupro have to be withdrawn gradually? How? Can it be overlapped

What to do now ?
Hello, I have been on a 2mg Neupro patch for the last 6 months. It has been working well except for the last 4 nights where I fear may now be the start of augmenting. I have had restless legs for a few years now, it became exacerbated last year after a craniotomy for a brain tumour. I have always taken

Introduction
Hi I’m new to this site, but glad to join. As background: I was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 2016. I began treatment in 2017 with the Agonist NeuPro. All was good for a year till I developed a reaction at the patch site. I discontinued the patch and started with 2mg Ropinirole, which was later increased

Temgesic attempt (UK)
Following encouraging posts by Shumbah and Jules 1953 I contacted my doctor. She said Temgesic is controlled in the UK, so she'll have to get the say-so from my neurologist, which might take time. He may want to see me or have a phone interview. Drat! I'm worried he'll again say I should go on the Neupro

Neurologist for RLS- frustrated
I finally saw the neurologist for RLS. She wants me to take Horizant, and balked at giving me low dose a Tramadol because I’m breastfeeding. (Tramadol does not cause issues in breastfeeding, which is why unwanted to try it. EVERY other drug for RLS does.) Told me to stay on the ropinerole at .50 mg

Neupro causing Augmentation
Could I please ask anyone who has experience of using opioids what is the preferred choice and minimum dose that is effective? In the recent warm weather due to physical work outdoors I have not been able to keep the patch on . The symptoms were 10 times worse than before I started. My GP has often suggested

Trying to drop Neupro and manage RLS without drugs
I’ve been on Neupro 1mg for about 1.5 years for RLS. I tried Horizant first but it didn’t help so my neuro put me on Neupro and I do well with it but I’m concerned about augmentation and side effects. I’m going to talk to my neuro about making a change. Has anyone tried Restiffic foot wraps? https:/

Dr. Buchfuhrer Visit
Hello friends. I’ve just had the pleasure of traveling to California to see Dr. Buchfuhrer. What a caring and knowledgeable man. I wanted to share his treatment plan in the hopes that it can help others... I was taking Gabapentin 1200 mg every evening at the time of my visit. He prefers Horizant

Sorry everyone! Just read the title of my post and it has come out as complete rubbish! Was supposed to read: What is the most usual dose of Neupro patches! Obviously a typo!

what isthmus usual maintenance dose of the Neupro patch?
Hi all! I am back again after quite a few years. I am trying Neupro patches as a last resort after trying absolutely everything else over time. I was actually doing fine on Oxycodone but my new GP was insistent that I came off them. So my London consultant has suggested Neupro patches. I have just

I have been using the 2mg Neupro patch for 10 weeks and my symptoms have not changed. This is the first medication I have tried. Is this common?
