Annual NHS Blood Test
Hi, I’ve just had my annual thyroid blood test and I am absolutely speechless…… When I checked my results it showed that the NHS test only checked my TSH, the NHS didn't even check my T4 as the standard annual check. We have no chance of them completing a full thyroid blood test. Luckily for me

The uptake results are in... and more confusion
I've received my uptake scan results today, which I was expecting to show a toxic nodule or few. Instead the report states..... There is uptake seen throughout the thyroid gland with relative increased tracer activity on the right when compared to the left, however, no focal nodule is seen. Thyroid

Evening all, Has anyone experienced Septic Arthritis due to RA? What were your symptoms? I'm having the worst pain and swelling in my left knee that I've ever had. I had an emergency appt with Rheumatology this morning who drained fluid from my knee and sent off for testing as it was cloudy? They also

Tongue / Graves disease
Can the thyroid affect the tongue? I was borderline again last time and have a blood test end of Feb due to be discharged if ok but I think as I keep being borderline they're not sure what to do with me. As to whether my body is naturally on borderline as I don't really get many of the symptoms Mild

Leg Pain pt 3
Writing again because one of you lovely people suggested I saw my MRI results for myself. She was right, my doctor said it was wear and tear in the back. Keep taking the painkillers and walk. But I did see the results and it is Grade 1 degenerative spondylolisthesis. He did not suggest physio. But

Private test results
My results from private appt . Doctor recommends starting levothyroxine 75mg and retest in 8 weeks. Would have liked to prescribe t3 but due to my history of graves disease decided levo was worth a trial. Any experience with levo or T3 from former graves patients would be helpful to know. Latest bloods

Advice regarding Thyroid levels
Hi Could do with some advice regarding my thyroid test levels. I have Hashimoto's but am not taking thyroid medication due to my TSH levels not being high enough yet. I was diagnosed just over 2 years ago after my health had declined for several years. My GP did however agree to a 25mcg Levothyroxine

Dr Antony Toft Thyroid specialist re treating some patients with combi of T3 to their Levo can somebody send me the link please
Hi All, I have a GP call today on the back of a pretty scathing consultant F/u letter, with the aim to get me off NDT (agreed by previous Consultant) to raise my TSH by giving me a lower dose of Levo. An all too familiar story I know. That said this is a new GP who possibly knows very little about DIO2

anyone have achy legs
I’m learning so much from reading everyone’s posts. Unfortunately I am still trying to figure out what is going on with my legs. I know I have a component of RLS as my legs feel like a “current” is running through them when I am sitting for long periods, watching Tv in evenings and laying in bed.

Steroid injection in shoulder joint
I had a steroid injection in my left shoulder on Thurs pm (after waiting about 6 months). The doctor administering it, advised me to postpone a forthcoming shingles jab, but I forgot to ask him if I should continue to take methotrexate (due Fri - i opted to skip it this week) and my 2 weekly Imraldi
