Glandulars and NDT, whatty what now?? Confused.
Hi everyone, I think I'm being a bit dim here but I have to ask ...what is difference between Glandulars and NDT? I know M is a glandular.... But then what? What does that actually mean re. treating hypothyroidism, I still don't understand the difference despite my Googling. 😐 Also, why all the

Tried Bovine Thyroid Supplement - feel very ill!
I could really use some help. I just started on a beef thyroid supplement this morning (Grassfed Beef Thyroid by Ancestral Supplements). And it looks like my body is reacting the same way it reacted when I tried 2 porcine thyroid supplements in the past - heart palpitations and severe fatigue. Although

hi, I have posted here a few years ago when my husband was diagnosed with Graves’ disease and get lots of help. This time it’s me and it looks like I might have the same condition 😕 I started feeling heart palpitations that wouldn’t go away so decided to go to the hospital. I have attached the results

Feeling of something stuck in throat
Before my TT I had a constant feeling of something stuck in my throat which was due to my enlarged thyroid pressing on something. I had a cold about 6 weeks ago which has caused a lot of phlegm, and now I have the feeling of something constantly stuck in my throat again. Is it possible that this could

Happy holidays, need help, exhausted after med change
Hi friends, I last posted after raising my meds a bit 5 months ago. Was doing ok on that but still needed a little T3 so tried adding liothyronine (again) and it felt good for a while but then started up with side effects after a bit. I was doing a tiny amount...started with 2.5 mcg daily and then tried

TSH is too low because I increased NDT too quickly to 2 grains- I have now reduced

T4 over range yet again due to side effect of Amiodarone. I have no thyroid, am on 25mcg levo daily now. In a dilemma
Hi all I am aware that most people on this site will have little knowledge about the drug Amiodarone so here is a brief account of what it is used for and it's potential side effects that can alter conversion of thyroid medication such as levo or NDT so pushing levels either up or down. It can also effect

Daft question I’m sure - re NDT and effects of withdrawal
Hi I know this is probably going to be a stupid question. But being a bit cash strapped this month so ran out of NDT 3 weeks ago. I was taking 60mg in conjunction with thyroxine , 75mcg - reason I was put on it was due to poor t3 conversion so whilst my tsh looked over supressed my t3 was always sitting

Hi, can anyone help me understand please? My thyroid tests keep coming back as normal but I have symptoms which I’m trying to unpick from menopause symptoms. Gastric reflux and thyroid problems related?
Since my thyroid was removed I started with something called pathological reflux, since then this has been getting worse, I have taken proton pump inhibitors, pepsane, natural supplements, etc. but they have helped little, I had three endoscopies, Ph meteria, manometry , they told me that I did not have

any secondary cancers after thyroidectomy?
I’m just wondering if anyone has been diagnosed with a secondary cancer - particularly renal or bladder - after having thyroid cancer. I have read the chances are raised but I can’t find out by how much. I’m currently undergoing investigation. thank you x

Cardio and thyroidism
5and a half years ago I suffered a heart attack. I had a stent implanted and went to cardio rehab. I have noticed over the last year I get tired quickly and have shortage of breath. I was shocked to be told by my new doctor that I have an underactive thyroid. My question is this! Is my heart contributing
