Hi, I wanted to know if anyone was told if they have had a scan that their thyroid was taut?
I’ve been getting a tightness feeling in my throat on and off for months and although she said nothing she found was bad I keep getting pain in the front of my throat as well. I’ve felt generally unwell for pretty much a year now and my thyroid levels are normal. I’m just so fed up cause nothing is being diagnosed but I feel like I’ve not been right at all. Throats are lumpy anyway and even when I do say about new lumps or things that feel hard no one seems to say anything about them. I’ve even seen an ent consultant.

"taut" could mean swollen but I am just guessing. Have you ever had an antibody test? This can show your thyroid is struggling (and at the moment nearly keeping up with your needs) but needs help.
Did you get the actual results of the blood tests? You are legally entitled to them for free. I would suggest your first action is to get the results and come back here with them. "normal" may not be your normal. The medical profession tend to say all is OK even if you are at the bottom of the range.
