Endometriosis and mirena coil
Hi, I hope someone can help, i was diagnosed with endometriosis in December 2023 after undergoing laparoscopy, it couldn't be removed at the time, I am now waiting for robotic excision, I have been recommended to have the
mirena
coil fitted at the same time as surgery.

Post menopause, pernicious anaemia and endometriosis
Diagnosed with endomeriosis over 15 years years ago, had Prostap injections for 6 months, with little success and opted to try
Mirena
Coil first before hysterectomy.
Mirena
was a god send for me, it was great at controlling my symptons, I've had 3
mirena
coils in total.

patch
Hiya, I wondered if anyone with a
mirena
coil has ended up using the patch too? If so, how are you finding it? I’ve been recommended it for stage 4 endo, surgery is 2+ years waiting list. I don’t react too well to hormones, but I’m at a point where it can’t be worse.

Birth control for PCOS and ENDO
I was diagnosed with PCOS 2 years ago and was put on the
Mirena
coil to help relieve symptoms and to balance out my hormones. Last week I had my first diagnostic and excision surgery for Endo where they found Endo in my pelvis and around my ovaries.

What contraception with endo
Some nurses have also said that they were surprised I was advised the
mirena
coil to help with my endo as it would not stop ovulation, so I am a bit confused.

Mirena coil and mood
I wondered if anyone can advise me on the effects on mood of having the
mirena
coil fitted? I understand the point of it is to reduce bleeding and pain. I'm having laporoscopy in January to remove endometriomas and anything else they may find but the consultant keeps suggesting the
mirena
coil.

periods on mirena but no pain
I’ve had 2 laps for endo, have tri cycled the pill and been on tablets such as naproxen. Ive been so luckily that having the coil fitted during my 2nd lap has majorly improved pain and quality of life. I’ve had it for a year and bit and I’m on my 5th period. My dilemma is it’s pain free but how much

Experience on Zoladex or Prostap for endometriosis
I currently have the
mirena
coil but haven't seen any improvement of my symptoms. I’m desperate so really willing to try anything but I am nervous about the side effects and mental health impact. Would love to hear your stories or any advice would be appreciated 😊x

Endometriosis, HRT and Mirena coil.
Or have the
Mirena
coil fitted, which will apparently stop all symptoms of perimenopause and Endometriosis. I have been and still am reluctant to have the coil. Does anyone have any experience of having a coil fitted with regards to Endometriosis symptoms?

Strange period/bleeding. Has anyone else had this?
I've had the
mirena
coil for 18 months and had the odd light bleed. For the past few months I have all the symptoms of a period and when I wipe there is blood/small clots but nothing goes on the towel. It's as if it just sits internally. Has anyone else had this? X

1 year post op with continuing issues
I had that removes, along with some ovarian cysts, and the
Mirena
coil implanted. Firstly, has anyone had any positive experiences with the
Mirena
? I'm a year in and I'm not really feeling the benefits of it.

Advice on shrinking endometrioma
As I have the
mirena
coil I don't have a period or any pain other than the occasional dull ache. Does anyone have any experience of following a certain diet, taking certain supplements or doing any alternative therapies which have actually shrunk cysts or reduced sites of endo?

Intrauterine Device Issue
I've had
Mirena
(hormone) coils since being a young woman. Im 42 now. I have a new one every 4yrs and don't have periods. The one I have in now is due to be changed 2024 but I've just started to bleed slightly. Not happened before. Anyone other ladies experienced this??

Mirena coil and urge incontinence - help!
I had a
Mirena
coil put in 2 years ago due to PCOS and irregular periods. From the last 3 months (Oct 2023), every time I'm on my period I have had a few minor leaks, sometimes its just a drop or two. I literally have to make a quick dash to the loo to make it just in time.

Control endometriosis with diet?
And during this break I had a lot of bloating and pain. 6 months on since I have been taking the pills I have now agreed to surgery and I am considering the
Mirena
coil. I was wondering if I could possibly control my pains via lifestyle and diet?

Booked for diagnostic laparoscopy next week and super anxious.
I have had the
Mirena
coil for over a year which has really eased my nausea and made my periods lighter but the pain is still constant. I just wasn’t willing to accept that this was as good as it gets. However, the closer I get to my lap the more anxious I feel.

should I seek a third opinion about endo/adeno diagnosis?
It took until I was 23 for a Dr to suggest it might be endometriosis and I had a
mirena
coil fitted which did significantly improve my bleeding and pain, but my periods seem to be becoming more regular and ‘usual’ now.
