On/Off period caused by Sinemet. Anyone taking dopamine agonist and/or MAO inhibitors experience on/offs?
I found in the web an interesting info about a disclaimer contained in the package insert of Sinemet distributed in Australia. It warns as a “side effect the on/off periods may occur to some people after one year use where people may lose their ability to move from minutes to hours then can move again

Treatment for a recovering alcoholic
I first want to thank everyone for sharing. I have learned a lot. I have had RLS since my twenties and I am now 68. I took Mirapex for about 7 years before I began experiencing augmentation. Even though I was seeing a neurologist I was never guided through the withdrawal. I went cold turkey which was

Switching off dopamine agonists to tramadol and lyrica
Just over a month tapering off the miaows and a bit of sinemet. Last night, none and had a dreadful night, as most of the others were too. Sifrol hell
Hi, I am a 57yo lady. Maybe mid 2018 I was prescribed Sifrol aka Pramipexole, Mirapex etc to combat RSL whilst withdrawing from Slow Release Tramadol used for about 16 years for Fibromyalgia. I had NO idea at the time this drug SIFROL is harder to get off than opiates...unless you use opiate meds

Gabapentin/Neupro
Hi, I've not posted for a long while now. I was wondering if anyone has experience of Neupro Rotigotine patches. I successfully weaned myself off Mirapex from Nov last year, into March this year. Since then I've tried a number of things (all useless) but finally I saw a Neurologist in June who prescribed

Life after quitting Mirapex?
Has anyone successfully quit taking mirapex? Afterwards....are you able to stay off through higher amounts of iron or other means that are non medication? I have had RLS since my pregnancy which was 30 years ago. I went to a neurologist who took iron ferritin test and I was in the 20s range about

Worst night in months
So I voluntary skipped my 0.0625 mg dose of Mirapex ( having taken it for over 6 months now with the occasional 0.125 mg dose). And it was hell. Beyond hell to be clear. Could not stand the RLS which felt like waves of electric shocks. Survived without the dose only till 12:30 pm and then woke up and

Do you take Miralax?
I would like to hear from people who regularly take more than the recommended dose of Mirialax. I am very tempted to take it more often and would love to find out if it is helpful or not to do so.

It has been effective but reading about these medicines I am scared to death that it will be a spoil sport for me in the future. What should I do? My neurologist asked me to continue with Mirapex while its effective and according

It's Almost Graduation Day...saying goodbye to RLS
I am 63 and have had RLS since I was 17 yrs old in College. Like most everybody else, the RLS got worse over the years. When Ropenerol was brought to market I jumped all over it. Then the usual augmentation happened with burning feet, insomnia and the need to take more. I switched to Mirapex and quickly
