Sinimet?
Ny neuro has prescribed Sinimet IN ADDITION to the Mirapex I am already taking. (nights have been bad.) I’m like - another nasty drug? Anyone taking this or have any comments, etc.? My RLS was GREAT. Taking iron and was sleeping well, etc. It has returned with a vengeance and that was his solution?

First colonoscopy prep
For prep I have to take 4 Dulcolax or Senna tablets in addition to 17 capfuls of
Miralax
. I’ve read horrible reviews about severe pain, nausea and shaking on Dulcolax. Senna sounds painful too but not as bad. Not sure which one to take. Hoping to get some feedback on experiences and any tips!

Gabapentin/Pregabalin - Who is actually finding this helps their RLS?
There has been a lot of advice on this Forum about A2B Ligands being first line of treatment (?) and I was thinking there must be a lot of people out there who were advised to come off DA's (slowly) and go onto these Ligands. Then I am reading a lot of posts of people whereby these Ligands stop working

Need advice to get off Mirapex!
After taking Mirapex for 10 years (now at .75mg) I am trying again to get off it as augmentation has become worse than my RLS. My doctor isn't helpful; he says just stop taking it! What protocols have been successful for others?

Dog tired
Hi all. Have had severe insomnia for a year. I’m gradually tapering off klonapin. On a few other meds as well... Lamictal, Mirapex, and an maoi. Just over a serious depressive episode a couple of years ago. What’s happening now is a mystery to me. I have what can only be called “attacks” of almost paralyzing

Surviving RLS when on bedrest
I’m struggling so badly with RLS at the same time as experiencing knee arthritis flare up awaiting knee replacement. It’s maddening to be told to elevate your leg and ice it when you can’t lay still for just a few minutes. And that standing up is only relief and it’s too painful to stand. My neurologist

Chronic constipation
He has been on the highest dose of Linzess with
Miralax
and he is only having a bit of watery diarrhea. The doc doesn’t have any more advice. What are we supposed to do? We are so discouraged and feeling a bit desperate.

RLS TREATMENT: Every day I read questions and answers on this forum and I would like to share with you some of my concerns
about the replies given to the many RLS sufferers who are struggling with their medication. All medications, if you read the leaflets, have side-effects and complications and at the end of the day, we have to weigh up which ones are going to be effective for each of us individually. 1.Dopamine Agonists

Mirapex and weight gain
I started mirapex to treat restless legs and it was amazing but I noticed that I started to gain weight, not from compulsive overeating although I did acquire other compulsive behaviors such as spending money. Has this happened to anyone else? If so, were you able to lose the weight?

Child Constipation - How long does it take to get back to normal?
We started him on
MiraLax
, at the direction of our pediatrician. It didn't work fast enough, and my son was still in so much pain, so we took him to the Emergency Room of a child's hospital. They did a suppository first, with little success.

Dystonia from Mirapex
Has anyone else gotten Dystonia after taking Mirapex. I started on Mirapex, along with Lexapro and Klonapin a year ago. As well as sinemet which I was already on. Since adding the Mirapex and other drugs I started getting Dystonia, in my toes at first, then ankle, then whole food and lower leg. Now

Bowel obstruction as a result of debulking surgery
I was going to have surgery to try to remove the scar tissue in July but we (my surgeon and I) decided to cancel and I'm dealing with it by being on a low fiber diet and taking
miralax
and stool softeners daily.

How does everyone differentiate between RLS symptoms, vs. augmentation from one of your meds vs. withdrawal symptoms
I have been dealing with RLS for 20 years and the past year has been by far the worst with significant escalation of the disease. I have experienced augmentation from Mirapex and then severe withdrawal due to very bad advice from my neurologist. I was then put onto Neupro patches at 2mg and a week
