This is a UK site so you may not get many replies. The closest Centre of Excellence to you is Johns Hopkins hospital in Baltimore. It would be worth travelling to see Dr Early or a member of his team.
Yeah i have top be a maryland resident i already called
That’s unfortunate. I have just received the latest edition of the US RLS foundation magazine- & there are 4 emails for VA. You could try contacting them & they may know a practitioner near you.

I don’t know if you have to be a member of rls.org for them to respond but if you do- membership is $35 a year & gives access to the forum & webinars by US experts & a magazine that comes out 4 times a year with useful research articles & updates.
I live in Northern Virginia. But my sleep doctor, Dr. Stein, prescribes gabapentin for me, which works.
I just saw your e-mail. I live in Omaha. My doctor is in the sleep medicine department at the Nebraska Med Center and he has been willing to prescribe opioids after trying all other meds and augmenting on mirapex. Long journey. Maybe the best bet is to take some research with you to meet with a neurologist in your area and hopefully convince them to try an opioid? Also check with RLS.org the Foundation in the US. There is quite a lot of information on that site that could be shared with your doctor. I'm sorry you are struggling. It is pretty awful I know.
My neurologist doubled my mirapex and made it 4x a day aftr i told him i wanted off
Sack your neurologist! Clearly doesn’t know how to treat augmentation or RLS.
No drugs will help RLS if you’re suffering augmentation on mirapex.
Lyrica may work once off Mirapex. You can get off it yourself by reducing very, very slowly over a minimum of 3 months. Raising ferritin can help relieve augmentation symptoms.
I hope you find a knowledgeable doctor who can prescribe low dose opioids to get you off Mirapex and treat your RLS long term.
