Ct scan -chemo
My first ct scan since starting chemo was good. 😃. Organs and lymph nodes are all clear and numerous boney lesions are sclerotic. My family doctor said that means there is scarring which in turn means healing. 👏🏻👏🏻 At least that is our interpretation. I call the message line to remind my oncologist

New to Ibrance
Hi, I'm new to this site. Just started Ibrance and Letrozole. On my second week now. Get my first blood test and EKG on Monday. Hope my numbers are good. No real side affects yet. I bit of constipation which I'm trying to manage with diet. I had breast cancer 20yrs ago but went into remission, thought

Strange flares?
Hi there. I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced what I've been dealing with for the last 3-4 months. (I was on Ibrance (100 mg) and Letrozole, but my CA 27.29 markers started spiking, so I'm off that, taking Letrozole until I'm out, have had my two loading doses of Faslodex and am supposed to

Importance of PET scans
Morning everyone I just wanted to give you an update and to share what’s happening with me. So I had one small bone met to my pelvis in 2018 kept under control with Ibrance and Letrozole. It even went to the stage of No evidence of disease just scarring. On my CT scan just before lockdown there were

Women with bone-only metastatic breast cancer- do you see this as a chronic disease?
Just curious how long some of you women who have been diagnosed with bone-only metastases have been living with this disease. My mom's oncologist described it as a "chronic condition" that needs to be managed. She's currently taking letrozole and xgeva shots. She has 2 tumors in her spine - l4 and t2

Sunscreen
This may seem an odd question but today I used an organic sunscreen and after a few hours my tee shirt had turned pink around the edges of my neck where it was touching my skin. It wont even come out with bleach. Is it possible that there are chemicals in the letrozole or palbociclin that might have

Change in dose
Hello gorgeous ladies. After how long on Ibrance 125mg did your oncologist reduce the dose and why? I’m on 125mg with Letrozole for 8 months now. I’m feeling more nausea, dizziness, headaches and zero appetite. He’s sending me for a brain scan this Friday along with regular CT scan. He said that we may

Overactive bladder?
Has anyone ever experienced an overactive bladder? My mom started having issues where she's getting up at least 10 times a night to pee. I'm not sure if its aging or side effect of her letrozole but I wanted to ask what you guys did to help it (if anyone experienced similar problems). Thanks! Jacqueline

Waiting on clinical trial - currently on no treatment
Hi I’m still waiting scans & further tests etc to hopefully participate in the Emerald clinical study. Since stopping palbociclib and letrozole I feel awful. I ache all over and I’m really tired all the time. On a plus side I’ve lost a bit of weight but I’m still far too heavy. I just hope and pray

5 Dominant Follicles
Hi everyone, I am on my third round of Letrozole for ovulation induction and have been for a day 10 scan today and there were 5 follicles measuring between 11 - 13mm. I have to go back on Thursday and have been told the cycle may have to be abandoned. Just wondering if anyone has had the same thing

Can Letrozole account for shimmers all over my body?
As a woman relatively new to MBS to the liver, I have a lot of questions. I will begin with this most pressing one. Could Letrozole account for shimmers/trembling/feeling of electricity surging throughout my body, mostly in my legs but perhaps in concert with my heart pumping? The answers I have got

Scans say still I'm Stable Mabel! No changes! 13 months on Ibrance and Letrozole. Would like to be NED, but I'll take stable! Now I can relax for now and enjoy 4th of July!

Progression - next possible treatment
Good morning ladies I’ve just checked on mumma hen and her two chicks 🐣🐣 all is well - they do get through their chick crumb and drink plenty.... Re. My progression, the letter arrived yesterday without the copies of my latest CT and MRI scan. However, the letter states the liver MRI has confirmed

Government advice about sheilding
I'm in uk. I've just had a letter saying I no longer need to shield on the advice of gp or consultant. Now if it's the GP who completely missed my symptoms last year I don't trust the decision, so plan to ask consultant next week when I have s phone appointment. Given I was told to be very careful whilst

New to this group - not new to MBC
Good morning everyone! I was diagnosed with Stage III BC May 2008 and MBC Dec 2016. Currently on Ibrance, letrozole, and Xgeva. Have all the usual suspects for side effects, but doing okay - still mobile, still engaged. Hope you all are staying safe in these crazy times and I look forward to getting

Endoscopy results
I’ve been on Ibrance and Letrozole for a year, but after my CT scan tomorrow, I may have to switch. Last year when I was diagnosed, the cancer was in my gastric body and angularis. Now it’s also in the antrum. That sounds like it’s spreading. I had a spot on my omentum in the last CT, so I’ll have to

Drug repositioning - metformin
Hi Ladies I’ve read lots of research around metformin and the possibility that it could help with breast cancer. I currently have progression in the liver and palbociclib has been stopped and I’ve been left on letrozole for the timebeing. My husband is a type II diabetic and we have loads of metformin

Liver MRI Scan results
Hi ladies I’ve just had a call from the Oncologist and unfortunately he has confirmed that my liver MRI scan has shown a new growth in the liver measuring 2.5cm. He has advised that he will no longer prescribe me palbociclib as he has proven that it is no longer effective. He wants me to continue on
