After increasing my dose by 2mg advised by the doctor the aches have not improved . Should I try the flare protocol after 3 weeks on 10mg and still aching .

Just to confirm I add 4mg methylprednisolone for one week then back to my current 10mg . Hopefully that will work.

For most people it works… you can only try and see.

As we always advise adding 5mg, I’m guessing the increase of 2mg suggested by GP wasn’t enough.

Yes it obviously hasn't been enough increase. A split dose seems to work better for my body so would I be better to take 8mg morning and 6mg evening . Any advice appreciated.

I think for a flare I’d take as one increased dose, but if splitting works for you then try it. Usual advice for splitting dose is 2/3rd am, 1/3rd pm… so maybe - 9mg am, 5mg evening.

Ok will try as one dose first and see if I'm ok with that. Thankyou

Just 2mg wasn't likely to clear out accumulated inflammation AND deal with the daily batch as well.
