Busy two weeks during flare protocol

Since I had some pain in arms and hips after increasing to 10mg from 8mg , I then have just finished 2 weeks of flare protocol increasing to 14mg. Due to reduce tomorrow but today had more pain than the start of the protocol. I've had 6 of my family over and it's been hectic so probably not been resting enough . What can I do now , is it wise to try reducing or stay on 14mg and rest for another week. ?

Is it ok to continue on higher dose of flare protocol for an extra week ? Would be grateful for any advice .

I'm on methylprednisolone so that why other dosage.

Thankyou

Yiu can stay on higher dose for longer-but you may then need to reduce a bit slower than we would normally suggest.

So instead of dropping down to 10mg [not 8mg as that is where issue started] in one go.. maybe to 12mg for a week and then to 10mg..But you won’t know until you try…

As DL says - you'll find out when you try. But next time you have a flare and the family are around - let them take the strain!!!!

They were helping as much as possible but I think it's just in my nature to try to do my best to give them a good time and also going from a quiet house with 2 of us to 8 of us was just maybe too much all at once. I plan to have a duvet day when they all go and rest . Thanks PMR pro 😄

I find having 2 adults around can be hard work!!!! And I assume there were junior members of the expedition present as well??
