Just picked up my new meds - hoping 3rd try is a charm! Trying to remain positive and hopeful that my body responds to this one. I’ve been lucky on both Ibrance and Afinitor - side effects were manageable. But the darn pharmacist freaked me out a bit with the hand and foot issues - no flip flops

Breast pain
Hello lovely ladies! I am wondering about breast pain. I was diagnosed with stage-four right from the get-go in my right breast. My lump was a size of a golf ball but has since shrunk to a quarter of the size that it was. My last scans in December showed no progression and some of the spots in my lungs

I was diagnosed with MBC June of last year at age 79 and I am still in shock. I was on Tamoxifen for 3 months which made the breast lump bigger. I am now on Ibrance and Faslodex and so far show shrinkage in breast and 2 lymph nodes lumps. Aside from occasional tiredness and nausea, no other side effects

TIMING questions for a multimodal approach oligometastatic PCa with CVD
The idea is a multimodal aggressive approach for oligometastatic PCa (T3b N1 M1, Gleason 9, PSA 29 now) with: 1) radiation + radiation to pelvis lymph nodes and
metastasis
2) ADT + Zytiga but we need also to do 3)stents Timing could be important because of side effects and best results.

I got the Dr. take - can anyone let me know if they have had bone scans like this. I included a few paragraphs.
Findings are suggestive of diffuse osseous
metastasis
, new since 1/19/2017. Specifically, moderate bony uptake is noted involving the left distal clavicle and left proximal humerus. Suggest radiographic correlation to exclude underlying pathologic fractures

Taking Ibrance and Faslodex
Hi I am new to this forum. I am on the verge of making a decision whether I should take Ibrance or not. I just restarted Faslodex injection again. I was on it for 4 years and stopped all treatment for 2 years and now the breast cancer has spread to liver and lymph node. My oncologist wants me to take

Genistein - phase II trial.
This finding was pathway relevant, as MEK4 has been shown to be a pharmacologic target of genistein, and for genistein-mediated inhibition of motility and
metastasis
in particular [2, 3]. Further, MEK4 has been shown to be a driver of
metastasis
for human PCa [9].

Port questions
I have the option of a port. Currently doing GemCarbo by IV. However, after my hospital stay 2 weeks ago and limitations to 1 arm, IV is becoming a challenge. Where is the port located usually? Does it interfere w bra? Can I lay on stomach? How do they implant it? Are you sleeping? I’ve read some

FYI Cure Magazine Cover Features TNBC
One of the very few "benefits" of having bc is that we can get a free subscription to Cure Magazine. The Feb 2019 issue just arrived at my house today, and it has a number of good resources listed, including financial help. And has an article about the role of immunotherapy in treating TNBC! TNBC

(Pelvic Lymph Node Radiation Therapy) At 8 years, distant
metastasis
found in: • PBRT only - 45 patients • PBRT+ADT - 38 patients PLNRT+PBRT+ADT - 25 patients It sounds like this will become the new treatment protocol for this scenario.

Want to find out, what are the chances of brain

spreading more if the actual lung cancer is regressing? My dad’s last PET showed that his cancer is regressing but when he did an MRI on his brain , doctors said that they see a new

Support by drug? I want to stay here, I don’t feel so afraid with this group.
I was happy to find this site and have gotten to know some of the people by their posts. I couldn’t tolerate Ibrance so I’m now on verzenio which is working much better for me. I just couldn’t breathe on Ibrance and I tried to force myself to take it because it works so well on the cancer. I was diagnosed

Recent Metastasic Stage IV Breast Cancer
I was recently diagnosed with stage IV metastatic breast cancer. I am a mother of 4 and wife of 22 years. This news devasted me and our family to say the least. We are a family of faith and believing in Gods healing and long life. I would love to hear stories of other survivors. I know I'll be blessed
