Survive - Catch it Early !
I was fortunate to catch my Bladder Cancer early. I had a different back pain than I was used to. After an ultra sound with "no issues", my accupuncturist suggested I go back and ask the doctor for more tests. My doctor sent me for a CT scan which revealled a tumour in the bladder. After my initial cystoscopy

Pregnancy after viral meningitis
Hi there, I was diagnosed with viral meningitis on 17th January of this year. I was in hospital for two days and have not yet returned to work as still suffering from fatigue if I do too much and seem to be prone to colds too, so my immune system is working overtime. I am hoping with as much rest as

Mr
My first indication of anything wrong was difficulty to pee so GP urine test showed slight blood trace - Cystoscopy results showed aggressive bladder cancer. Advised to have bladder removed - I went with BCG route and subsequent cystoscopies showed no further cancer. Now cancer returned as superficial

Information about Bladder Cancer
I was diagnosed with pTaG3 (i.e. aggressive cancer, but only in the first layer) with evidence of CIS (aggressive pre-cancer cells that lie flat on the surface) in January 2014. I had two TURBTs to start with, and then BCG treatments since. All bar one of the biopsies taken following each set of BCG

Flu vaccine for CLL and seniors
I have CLL and have been concerned about the flu. Because CLLers don't respond as strongly as others to the vaccine it was suggested to me to get a second shot which I did about 5 months after the first. (Both were the high dose for seniors). There is a new vaccine specially for seniors which i was

Life is good.
I am a woman who at 61 years of age had a heart attack on my first day of retirement. I woke up and had heaviness and aching in both arms, plus pain in my shoulder, neck and jaws. I have been aware of the different symptoms of heart attacks for women. I lost my father at age 45 to a heart attack and

Fibromyalgia and Free Flu Jabs
Hi there, just wanted to check with others how their GP surgery is towards Fibromyalgia and flu jabs. Do you get offered a free flu jab? Our surgery is full of health awareness posters saying 'let's talk about flu' but I was pretty appalled when the duty doctor told me today that Fibromyalgia isn't

The dreaded flu
Advise please. I had a flu jab months ago but have now come down with the lurgy. Hot and cold shivers the works but I'm worried about my chest, the pain is bad just breathing but was just in agony trying to eat my porridge. Do we just hope our bodies can fight it or is it a doctor's visit?

Forgetful.....
It's probably been asked before but........in 2012 I spent over 4 months in hospital with decompensated Liver. All I remember is the liver biopsy and a sample of bone marrow being taken as to very low rbc. This was diagnosed as pure red blood aplasia on top of cirrhosis of the liver. That is all I remember
