Any Suggestions Welcome!
My RA is active and has been since April, the only relief I get is with the Depo
Medrol
injections, which only last upto 3 weeks on me, and I have had quite a lot of these due to really bad flares and having 3 Ruptured Baker Cysts.

Temporal Arteritis in 23 year old male
The only medication I ever took that seemed to help the temple pain was a
Medrol
(methylprednisolone) 6 day pack I took. The pain went away after the 3rd day but returned once I ran out of steroids. Could this be temporal arteritis at such a young age?

has anyone here used estrogen?
My doctor (a Hertoghe doctor) said my labs showed that I was far from meno- or perimenopausal, but that I was put on E and P because of adrenal fatigue (for which I was also put on
Medrol
, up to 6 mg daily). I was also switched from thyroxine to Armour Thyroid, which was later switched to Erfa.

hypertension questions
I have been diagnosed with adrenal fatigue, and put on
Medrol
by a Hertoghe doctor, but I have not had much success using this drug. For the past month, I have been on a supplement called ADR Formula, by Pure Prescriptions.

confusing advice, would appreciate input on this
I just don't know...like I said, other things she said made sense (like you should not take estrogen if you are pre-menopausal, as you are often estrogen dominant), but only natural progesterone, 10 days a month at bedtime, and that

can adrenaline cause anxiety attacks?
I don't take any medication that could cause anxiety attacks, and I have been on both Erfa and
Medrol
for almost four years now. The only thing that has changed in recent days is the addition of NAX.

I was immediately put on
Medrol
(4 mg daily, told to increase it to 5 or even 6 mg daily depending on symptoms), as well as Armour, Estrogel, and Utrogestan (Progesterone).

Nutri Adrenal Extra
They all have you start on NDT and adrenal meds (
Medrol
or hydrocortisone, depending on the doctor) at the same time. Nobody ever told me to treat the adrenal glands first, before trying anything containing T3... Has anyone else had great results with Nutri Adrenal Extra?

adrenal cortex or adrenal extract?
My doctor (a Hertoghe doctor) preferred
Medrol
for the beginning because I tended to retain fluid, which to me is quite normal, since I was also seriously hypothyroid back then, despite high doses of levothyroxine.

Methotrexate-dilemma
The consultant gave me a depo
medrol
injection 120mg to help with the pain (4 days later & no benefit yet). He then told me I would be on methotrexate for life.

Hip Replacement/Low Hemoglobin
My surgeon "got it" and ordered 30 mg of
medrol
. In a few hours my vision was better. Was moved to a more sophisticated ICU. Vision OK. None of this "walking next day". Started rehab, walking 5th day. Tremendous dizziness. Hospital good. Surgeon said my hemoglobin low.

How to cope with accidents when immune suppressed by steroids?
I am on 120mg depot
Medrol
injections every three to four months and this episode did not feel like just minor shock but more serious. I saw my GP today who is always useless and she just shrugged and said if I had just stayed lying down I would have improved anyway with no extra steroid.

best adrenal support when weaning off prescription drugs...?
I was put on
Medrol
, as I tended to retain fluid (most likely because I had been on thyroxine only for about 15 years at the time...).

adrenal fatigue treatment questions
Since I have have never tried HC, I have no idea how it compares to
Medrol
. The reason my doctor (a Hertoghe doctor) put me on
Medrol
three years ago was because I tended to retain fluid, and HC is likely to worsen that problem.

Instead of Isocort?
I have never tried hydrocortisone, but I have been on
Medrol
for the past couple of years. It's OK (at least I feel worse if I forget a dose or two), but it's not natural, and I'd love to get off it one day.
