On and Off periods.??
I was diagnosed over 4 years ago with P D, I see the neurologist less than every 6 months, sometimes having to telephone for next appointment because I haven’t received one. I have never seen a Parkinson’s nurse, originally as she was on Maternity Leave , I finally got one for this October then in Sept

When to start Madopar/LDopa?
I was dx just under two years ago (age 54) and have been on Rasagiline (Azilect) since. It doesn’t have a noticeable effect but there is a hope it might be beneficial in slowing progression... I have some bradykinesia and a L side tremor but I’m ok and feel generally well. I’m being encouraged to start

WHAT ARE FERRITIN LEVELS?
It was absolutely amazing, but it did, of course, unfortunately return, so that's when I eventually went to a doctor and started on my
Madopar

A question for JohntPM.
The question is John was 48hrs enough to arrive at my conclusion :-- Rotigotine was added to medication as a measure of containing a known side effect of
Madopar
25s. Anyway I am "sticking " with the full patch for now. Will possibly try an extended a trial on
Madopar
next week.

Insomnia is the game.
I am going to ask for a supervised withdrawl of both
Madopar
and Rotigotine. I have tried unsuccessfully to do it myself. I wish I had never started these meds in the first place.

How fast does PD progress?
I take 4 x Stalevo per day at 4 hour intervals and if needed I can add 2 x Dispersable
Madopar
when I feel a slow down... The medication helps when I take it although it can take 15/1hr to get in my system and lasts 2 1/2 to 3 hrs... Is that normal?

Father (84) - just diagnosed. What to expect.
He saw a neurologist on Friday who gave him the diagnosis and a prescription for
Madopar
but no other information. I would like to know what to expect, so I can help him and my mother make a plan.

MY ANSWERS
Very rare as
Madopar
controls the pain 100% and the Sifrol disappates the symptoms 100%. Recently I was 'forced' to take some anti-nausea medication which totally cured the nausea but sent my RLS insane.

RLS and Lactose?
My visit to the neurologist was disappointing- he prescribed
Madopar
which originally took care of the RLS until the augmentation came on. Then it was a complete nightmare with cork screw coiling like RLS and it moved into my arms and even the back of my head.

cannabis does it help PSP I'm new here
I seem to see it mentioned a lot lately but no real evidence of actual usage wonder how safe it is when taking
madopar
I am 86 and otherwise in good health but would welcome a life (or what Is left of it ) to be free of freezing & falling
