Madopar shortage
Boots in the UK tell me they cannot supply
Madopar
100/25 capsules at the moment because of a problem at the manufacturers. They do not know when it will be available again. Anyone else been told this?

Gabapentin causing itch?
Hi all again, I have been on Gabapentin twice a day from my skin over--sensitization issues and half a
madopar
at night for the hypnic jerks and everything else. After a week or so, the doctor advised me to use three gabapentin of 400/day to attack the skin sensitivity issue even more.

I’m new here and to off times
I am 70 and was diagnosed in August 2013. My neurologist said I seemed to have a slowly developing type of Parkinson’s. I seemed to cope well and was exercising a lot. I was taking Modopar (4x125) and Sifrol in the daytime only until my last appointment in October. I mentioned I had started to have

Getting off Madopar
I really want to get off
Madopar
and it’s augmentation, and try to treat my legs with diet alone. Any suggestions? Have you successfully broken the crazy cycle of taking
Madopar
for rls then having to take it for the rebound effect of the medication? TIA!!

B1 experience so far!
He is on 2x 100/50
Madopar
tabs 3 times a day, a lowish dose of Palexia for his lower back pain and is currently taking 200mg of B1 hcl. We seem to have most PD symptoms under control except for insomnia which has been a problem for him for decades.

Apo morphine - no effect
But no - exsctly the same as in hospital with the addition thst i felt the next dose of
madopar
wasn't as nesrly as effective as it usually is. The very experienced nurse is surprised as she's never had a patient show no reaction except sleepiness.

My Mum is in hospital and I discovered they’ve been giving her

CR 100/25 (sustained release) all day instead of her
Madopar

Parkinsons and Osteoporosis medications
I take
Madopar
for Parkinsons, which works well for me, and am reluctant to possibly complicate things with other medication. Does anyone else take medication for both PD and osteoporosis, and have there been any complications?

MyBeloved has taken madopar capsules at maximum dose daily for years. What happens next?
what consultant told him was maximum dose is 5x2 capsules (one is cr). If you reached the end of effectiveness what were you offered as choices?
